Yes, it's a historic area of houses, but you likely will leave with the feeling hoping for more. To be fair, it's hard to offer more as it's less touristy than other areas.

If you'd like to have any idea how Amsterdam looked three-four centuries ago - this small garden is a must... One of the oldest wooden houses in Amsterdam - the other timber building is a tavern on Zeedijk (smaal side street by the St. Nicholas church)...
