Description: Soup en Zo is a culinary take-away soup restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. We have three locations: one in the Spiegelstraat in the gallery area, one restaurant with a terras outside in the Jodenbreestraat next to the Waterlooplein and one restaurant with some seating options in and outside in the van Baerlestraat next to the Museumplein. All of our soups and salads are freshly prepared daily by our chefs. Our food is served swiftly and our crew is quick and friendly. This makes our soups extra tasty! Seven days a week there are at least eight different soups on the menu at any given time. Besides this we have an assortment of homemade goodness for on the side, such as quiches, cheese straws and delicious cakes.

Had a Tuscany tomato soup topped with pesto and parmazan soup with a role - it was so tasty. Packed full of flavour and only 5,60€ for a medium carton. Great on a rainy day in Amsterdam.

After the Rembrandt house we needed a quick lunch, and found it to be inexpensive, quick and good. I really liked the coconut sweet potato soup and the yellow lentil soup. The Indonesian was just OK, the tomato pesto was not really edible because of a stringy lecture. The bread accompanying the soup was delicious. This helped us move faster that day, to be finished so quickly. Great concept.

Thanks Aventine for your words! Wonderful that you found our Soup en Zo to be a good pitstop in your busy day exploring Amsterdam :) There are always favourite and less favourite soups, and indeed texture is a great part of deciding if a soup is tasty or not so tasty! Looking forward to welcoming you when you visit Amsterdam again!

It is a nice little place to have a light lunch or have a informal meeting. Good veg soups. Tastes very close to home made soups. I tried lentil soup and pumpkin soups on two different occasions. If hungry take the large one , other sizes can only keep you filled only for a couple of hours.

A small soup restaurant , with many choices of different kind of soup (vegetarian , vegan, ethnic). Service was perfect at both of my visits.

I've tried the courgette (zucchini) soup and my friend took the vegetable soup. Both were great. On a price of 5.5 euros you get a medium-size portion. It is a great solution to warm up on a cold day. The only minus is that the place is small and there are not many places to sit inside (outside the place on the street there are some tables)
