We camped in one of the fields for six nights in July. The staff were very polite and helpful upon check-in and seemed very friendly even though we arrived five minutes before reception closing. The fields were quite crowded and there was a lot of litter around, but with so many people I know this must be difficult to maintain.
The campground itself had great facilities and places to lounge around. The bar/restaurant is very good and has super friendly staff that are up for a chat. The terrace is a really nice place to sit in either the sun or the rain! The communal kitchen is a great idea and it's fabulous to have the facility there if - like us- your camping gas runs out. The only issue is that sometimes people were lingering around in there to hide from the rain or use the work-surfaces for rolling joints. Make sure you wipe them before placing anything down.

The only other issues were caused more by other campers. You get only a six minute time period for the shower (which is really great environmentally and for keeping queues going) and then it takes four minutes to 'recharge' for the next person. However there were people (in the women's anyway) that would take the six minutes, wait for four until it 'recharges' and then take another six minutes. Because of this, queues were getting quite long.

Aside from that, a great place, especially for young people. If you don't mind being close to others and a little bit of dirt and litter, it's perfectly fine and by far one of the most economical options for staying in Amsterdam.

I spent two nights here on my trip to Amsterdam. Basically its camping in style.
I had a small room with two beds, wifi and aircon. There are no toilets in the room.
Beds were comfy and the wifi worked fine. Onsite toilets and showers were clean and apart from two blocked toilets were all working fine.
Fresh coffee and pastries in the morning for breakfast were excellent. Pints were nice and cold too.
Tram is ten minutes walk away from the campsite. Great place if you just want somewhere to put your head down after a long day. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Book the cabins. Its very basic but clean and secure.

Fantastic location in Amsterdam and only a short distance by tram to: Dam Square. Fantastic Facilities and Friendly Staff. Really nice views in certain locations of the site. Different types of accommodation to make your stay enjoyable. Fantastic breakfast buffet at a low price. Would definitely go back and stay here again.

My husband and I booked here as Amsterdam hotels cost a small fortune. We stayed in a two person Wagonette which saved us £££ by being a good price for 3 nights.
When we first arrived our first impression is that it's full of young groups of people which we thought "oh no, we will be forced to listen to non stop reggae music all night ".

However, where we stayed on the campsite was very quiet, there was hardly any noise after 10pm.

The Wagonettes are comfortable and basic, they are small bunk beds so anyone over 5"5 will find it a squeeze (I'm 5"2 so it was fine)

The facilities were always clean, I never queued for the toilets or the shower during our stay.
I like the 6 minute rule for a shower, this is the reason why there wasn't any queues as you have to be reasonably quick.

The breakfast served in the morning was good, however, a little pricey when paying €1 for a piece of salami and €1 for a slice of cheese. Again, I had cereal everyday so that was cheap.

The onsite shop is cheap and cheerful, has all the basics, toothbrush, towels, milk, beer, chocolate.

The staff were very friendly, we arrived early with lots of bags which they kept behind the desk until it was check in time.

The bike rental is also well priced, we hired 2 bikes for 72 hours.

Overall a positive camping experience, I will reccomend this to anyone planning to stay in Amsterdam as it felt safe, friendly, and reasonably priced throughout.
