Nice hotel, good location

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 6 Jun 2024
This hotel was very nice, the rooms were a good size and the room had a coffee machine and a fridge which was a nice addition. The hotel is right next to the Noord station so it takes less than 10 minutes to get to city center! My only complaint is that the showers do not have doors so water tends to get on the floor when showering. Other than that, this hotel was excellent!

(late review) Stopped in this hotel 27th March - 31st March.

The checking in process was easy, not the quickest I’ve experienced but we wasn’t bothered by this at all as the staff were very kind and polite. We did arrive before check-in so our room wasn’t ready yet which wasn’t an issue, the front desk workers took out luggage from us and stored it in the locked luggage room behind them. While we waited for our room, we went out and explored the area around the hotel. Just opposite the hotel there is a small corner shop. About a 10 minute walk away there is a small shopping square called Boven’t Y, which has a handful of supermarkets which was handy for getting a few snacks for the room and water, and there were some fast food places like McDonalds and KFC. On the weekend (easter weekend) there was a nice local market set up here with stalls of local produce, cheese, flowers etc and bouncy houses and rides for children. When it came to checking out, we left our luggage with the receptionists in the luggage room as we had a late flight back so didn’t need to be at the airport until a lot later in the day. The staff were very kind and accommodating even tho we had checked out.

The hotel itself is really nice and modern inside, our room was on the 8th floor facing a busy road, but we could never hear anything from out there. You couldn’t hear any noise from outside the hotel room which was really nice and allowed us to sleep well. The room was always cleaned and the cleaners did a good job of making sure it was spotless. The hotel provides towelling robes and slippers which is a nice touch. The TV in the room was really good, it had wifi you could connect to and YouTube which was nice as we could listen to music while we got ready for the day. There was an option for bed and breakfast which we didn’t take so I cannot comment on the food.

One major thing i can comment on is how good the transport links are around the hotel. We booked this hotel as there wasn’t any rooms left in hotels nearer to the central as this was a last minute break, but we didn’t want to stay directly in the centre of places like Dam square as they’re always busy and noisy areas. We got the to the hotel using public transport - train to Centraal station from the airport, then Metro 52 to Noord (last stop). This hotel isn’t far from Centraal or Dam Square, but it’s obviously not within walking distance from it. If you walk out the front of the hotel and turn left, about a minute down the road you’ll find Station Noord which takes you straight to Centraal Station or Dam Square within 10 - 15 minutes, if that. The Metros at this station are pretty regular as well so you don’t have to do much waiting around for them, and we found ourselves frequently using it to go and and forth and have a break from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam in the day. I would 100% recommend getting the travel passes from Centraal Station, it cost us €33 each for 6 days (we had to get it for 6 day because it would’ve expired mid way through our last day) and it allows you to freely use all of the Metros, Trams, Busses and Ferries which is extremely helpful for getting all the fun activities done that are around Amsterdam.

I would 100% recommend anybody to stay at this hotel and would definitely revisit if i came back to Amsterdam.

Room had enough space for 3. Enjoyed having coffee and tea and a small refrigerator.

You can easily reach all the sights within a short time by metro as it is really close to a metro line.

Beds and cushions could be a little more comfy. They were quite hard, not fluffy.

Breakfast was good with quite some choice. Did not like the scrambles eggs but discovered that we could order an omelette which was really good.

Would recommend the hotel for a long weekend.

Great hotel next to metro station and P&R parking. The hotel is brand new and you feel it in the rooms.
The breakfast is good quality, bar is properly stocked, simply everything that you would expect from a hotel.
The location is very convenient.
Highly recommended 👌

Good bed and pillows, staff super friendly, clean new and modern, about 10min from center. Good price for the location. It's really not too far with good access by metro or ferry/bike. Got free drinks on arrival. Park is also available. Decent.

This was a brilliant stay: Fantastic location and very easy to get anywhere you need thanks to the metro station around the corner. Additionally the stunning rooms and amenities, great service and very easy check out and check in made it our amsterdam stay amazing.
