When we first arrived at the hotel, we were amazed at the thousands of bicycles parked right in front of the hotel. This is one parking garage and/or hotel that you won't ever forget or miss.

The Hotel is conveniently located beside Amsterdam Centraal station, easy access to public transport. We are glad our local tour agent is located right opposite/across the road, so are eateries, Primark, red light district, etc. Room was comfortable with view. Breakfast was simple and ok.

Overall, great experience.

Room Tip: Amsterdam river view, strategic location, convenient

I booked two nights with traveling Europe with my Mum. We'd just stayed at Ibis Berlin Haupbahnhof and it was excellent. This location, however, was a completely opposite experience.

We arrived to find loads of British tourists smoking and getting stoned out front. Real classy. Check-in was quick, service was casual, like a backpackers.

Our room was 2nd floor facing trains - I could have reached out and patted the top of the train it was so close to us. Noise wasn't too bad, but there was no privacy or view.

Room was small and decor very dated, bathroom tiny.

We were awoken both nights to loud screaming drunk/stoned people in the hallways.

Breakfast was barely ok - if you have the option to not pay extra for breakfast and got to a cafe instead, I'd recommend that instead, unless you're after pure convenience or work is paying. Big vat of saucy baked beans clearly catering for the Brit backpacker hangover crowd.

Conveniently located right next to Amsterdam Central station and hop-on-hop-off canal boats. Definitely take the train from the airport to the station, it's the quickest and easiest way to get there and not at all expensive.

Hotel pricing expensive and not good value, really taking advantage of the shortage of accommodation on weekends or during events. If you have the chance to plan ahead and don't have to stay for the weekend, find somewhere nicer somewhere else at a better price and avoid the loud crass stoner-tourists.

Room Tip: Ask for non-station facing and higher up - good luck.

As long as you accept this is a no frills basic hotel and are comfortable with small rooms and an even smaller bathroom this is an excellent hotel for central Amsterdam
It is minutes from everywhere central ,the Jordaan , the red light district (sightseeing of course ) Dam square canal tours all on your door step
The hotel is clean and well run with pleasant courteous staff ,the bar / restaurant was pleasantly lively but never too boisterous.. room was quiet (third floor facing the city)
Little niggles , no bin in the room no toilet brush in the toilet not enough to spoil the stay

Room Tip: High up facing city to avoid railway

A budget hotel situated at the center of Amsterdam, just next to the Central station. Easy train access from airport. All tourist attractions like Dam Square, Madam Tussads, the RedLight district and the inevitable canal cruises are at a walkable distance.Ambience is what you expect at a budget option. Breakfast is complimentary but the restaurant can be very crowdy specially on weekends. Overall, a good, comfortable place and always advised for the excellent location.

... other than that the hotel is below average in every aspect. Most important factor is sleep comfort and the bed mattress was destroyed, inner curve causing me back pains. Fortunately I was in a twin room for single occupancy and switched to the other bed, which was indeed comfortable. The most filthy shower cabinet I have ever used in all my trips. Apparently the sewage was blocked, and the slow drainage wasn't allow for proper cleaning or even to enjoy your shower without overflow. Yes, you can hear trains all night but this is distinct only if you are a light sleeper. Breakfast was good but nothing exceptional. Efficient and smiley check-in and check-out process. BUT one extremely negative point is that there is no secure luggage room. You access it with a token from reception, but any other guest can pick up your luggage on purpose OR by accident. Practically you cannot safely store your luggage since you do not get a receipt. Value for money was subpar for an IBIS ... a rip-off exploiting low availability due to congresses and tourism. One big plus: easy commuting to anywhere you want in the city using the adjacent tram and metro stations. In brief: if you arrive late at the train station and you do not want to loose time for commuting to a better hotel, this hotel is ideal for an one night stay to just sleep & forget.

Room Tip: Ask for a room NOT facing the rail tracks ... although your request will be most probably ignored
