“Very Good Location”
Reviewed 27 February 2012

My wife and I stayed here in Feb 2012 for 3 nights. our stay was very pleasant, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a great location within walking distance of everything.

The rooms were modern however the standard of cleaning was not the best, there were a few stains on the carpet and hairs in the bath.

Having said that it was perfect for what we were looking for and I would stay again.

My husband and I decided to drive to Amsterdam for the weekend and 'wing it' as we are only four hours away. But on arriving on a busy Saturday afternoon we realised this was a difficult plan!
We finally found a parking and walked to find a hotel, Eden Hotel was a posh looking hotel we didn't think we could afford. As I waited with bated breath to find out the price the receptionist told us they only had executive rooms, as it was already 4pm though she gave us this room at standard room rates! 88 for the night.
It was like heaven to get out of the busy city into this calm relaxing hotel where the service was amazing! We felt like we were paying top notch rates as the service was that efficient. The room was also stunning, with working air conditioning and a VERY comfortable bed.

I would highly recommend this hotel. On arrival in Amsterday we were offered a hotel room for 90 euro that looked like a hostel! This is good value for money. They also arranged an excursion for us so all was organised! They also offer parking at 30 euro for the day (it's normally 45 if you park on the street!).
Stay here it's wonderful!

Room Tip: Our room had no view and was still wonderful and comfortable. (we had an executive room but I'm...

We visited here during the "deep freeze" of Europe and, as a result, spent a lot more time in our hotel room than we ordinarily would have. Fortunately we LOVED our room! It was on the top floor and overlooked the canal. The decor was clean and the overall vibe was chic and comfy. Best of all, the location is superb and in walking distance or an easy trolley ride to all the restaurants, attractions and nightlife you could ask for. (Because it snow-stormed, we didn't get to ride bikes around town.)The concierge and staff are pretty good (but not exceptional) at recommending places to eat and drink. The piano bar in the lobby seems cheesy, but we had a super fun night singing and drinking along to a bunch of classic rock standards. The breakfast is really great but super pricey (something like 26 Euros), though there are terrific cafes (with cats!) in the big square behind the hotel.

We were on our honeymoon, but almost everyone else here appeared to be business travelers. Still, I would stay here again and again.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the canal. The narrow, one-way street out front can be somewhat noisy, bu...

This hotel has some good and bad points. It has a good central location, with a tram line just outside, The hotel is basic and clean with nice, accomodating staff. Had to complain however about the first room (room 125) that we were given. It was virtually impossible to get any sleep due to the large volume of traffic from the street outside!! Also the bathroom was minisule. The closet was actually bigger.!!! The second room was slighter bigger with a better bathroom. The beds are very soft, which is good or bad, depending on your preference. All in all this hotel is good for a short break, but you get what you pay for when it comes to hotels in amsterdam!

Room Tip: court yard facing rooms are quieter
