My love arrived from Thailand on 31st December. I surprised her with a visit to the Sofitel in Amsterdam. We were welcomed by the GM with champagne and oliebollen. Very nice. We got an upgraded room and fresh rose leafs were on the bed. Very romantic. There was great flexibility to have some Thai food in our room for dinner and the next morning breakfast was served very nice by two loveley waitresses.

From a welcoming and personalised arrival, to a pleasant, expedite and happy registration process, to a warm, beautiful and detailed oriented room, to amazing meals and service, our overall experience at the Sofitel Legend Le Grand in Amsterdam was simply Magic! Even though you could say that we have been around, this overall experience was perhaps one of the most beautiful ones. We enjoyed every minute and aspect of it and we are looking forward to going back. This is what you would call a very well ran ship! Loved it!

Room tip: Suites are amazing!

We stayed in room 302, the welcome by the hotel staff was super. Personal greatings from the management, so friendly and accomodating. Super room with view over the canal. Lovely birthday decorations with a birthday cake to start a really memorable stay.

Room tip: Higher floors have a better view and are sunny

So my dear friend Florin invited me for my 1st 5* Breakfast experience, from the moment we walked through the entrance, everyone working there gave us a very warm welcome and showed us to our table. From there a gentleman named Luca was our personal waiter, he did a fantastic job with providing us with all sorts off nibbles and drinks of choice, champagne with freshly made breads and croissants that are made in a kitchen that very morning, we then had the Norwegian Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and all the combinations worked really well. Had a fantastic time and a warm outro too, will defiantly recommend if your looking for that extra top service and good quality. Thanks once again

I have been invited by the Grand for a 5 days 'artist in residence' during this pandemic. What a warm gesture and wonderful idea! The people working there have been super friendly, the service is fantastic, the apartment with everything I could wish for and also the food is of high quality as well.
