This is a lovely little place in a really nice area. It's around 15-20 minutes walk from the train station so you are just outside the busy city centre.
On arrival we were greeted by the friendly French owner of the B and B. He kindly talked us through all things we needed to know to make our stay better like what restaurants and where some of the interesting places to visit. You have everything you need in the room like tea and coffee and television. Rooms were clean and beds and rooms made up daily.
I would revisit this B and B in the future but wouldn't want to stay in the basement again. When we come away we like to stay up late in the evening, and get up late in the morning.
This was not possible staying in this particular room as there were what sounded like wooden stairs above our room and every morning around 7.30-8 we were woken by the children living at this address, running up and down. We could here doors being slammed shut and loud voices until around 9am when I assume the children went to school.
I'm thinking that the other rooms above would be quieter.More
