By the time we reached Amsterdam after spending 2 weeks in France & Geneva, we had our fill of rich French food and wanted some simple, "comfort" food ... noodle soup! The vegetarian ramen at Tokyo Ramen Iki hit the spot. We come from Silicon Valley, a very diverse area with a lot of Asians (I'm Asian). We have a lot of ramen and other Asian noodle places to choose from. I can't recall getting such a variety and huge portion of veggies at home compared to the generous, fresh vegetables in the ramen at this restaurant. Here, the broth was tasty, the meal filling and healthy. Our waiters both times were attentive. We enjoyed it so much we visited Tokyo Ramen Iki twice during our 5 days in Amsterdam. No, it's not gourmet food, but tasty ramen that is better than what we get at home. I would discourage getting the spicy version of the ramen because the taste of spicy oil, which makes it hot, just overwhelms the taste of the underlying broth.
One day though, they ran out of rice. That should NEVER happen in an Asian restaurant. Buy another rice cooker.
