This Indian restaurant has been here for many years. It is nice and with a traditional menu. You get a papdam with some sauce on the house. We chose the three course menu of €18,50 each. We shared the starters and the main course, for the latter we chose the chicken tikka, a bit dry but the mintsauce helped and the rogan josh, very nice and a little bit spicy. Good rice. As desert the mango kulfi. Aoll very good value for money. Very friendly and promt service.

Great location, busy street with lots of restaurants close to Rembrandtplein, went with a friend who is a regular here, small restaurant with cozy atmosphere, great tasting food and nicely presented, efficient friendly service, lovely evening, no complaints.

Last evening my wife and I returned yet again to our favorite Indian restaurant in A'dam. This restaurant about one block south off Rembrandtplein is tiny, and this time, without a reservation, we were lucky to snag the only open table for two. Rather than ordering a la carte as we usually do, we had Menu Number 3 for 2 persons, which consisted of dal soup, salad, naan, rogan josh, chicken tikka masala, cinnamon ice cream, and more, all for the equivalent of USD$55, which was a real bargain considering how much food we ate and how much food we had left over and brought back to our flat and which we plan to eat for tonight's dinner. The young waiter impressed us with his comment that the menu we ordered would be too much food for us. Normally restaurant employees try to get customers to order more food, not less. I spent some time talking with the owner who was very pleasant and chatty. We will likely return again in the next week we will still be in A'dam because last night was the best Indian dinner we have eaten in a long time. If anything, this restaurant just keeps getting better with the passage of time. Bravo, Meghna!

I liked the food but was not extatic about it. Bit more spice/flavour would have been appreciated. Price is ok and service was attentive and nice.

No pretentiousness about this place...it's old and not so of the times! However, the food was great and the service was very kind! We were in the mood for Indian and got exactly what we wanted!
