The room is five minutes away from the Grote Mark; and a few blocks from the shopping area. It is close by the main University building.
The check-in and -out process was fast and efficient. My room was a double (for single use); the room was huge for any standard; bathroom the same. Noise is an issue (not to me) but the hotel provides earplugs for those with a lighter sleep. Several colleagues stayed at this hotel and the rooms and opinion were diverse. I was lucky with a room in a higher floor (less noise from the bars around the hotel).
Breakfast was not included in my booking; 11,50 euros. Not plentiful and it seems expensive, but not for the neighbourhood.
Decent free wi-fi and a tiny space to work, but OK. The usual dutch and german channels, with some in international.
Bed was OK, on the soft side. In all, the hotel is OK, minimalistic on the furniture and a bad choice of rug colour.

Room Tip: Higher floor, to avoid noise from the street.

Realizing that the hotel is located down a small alley took some time when first trying to find it. At first I got a room that smelled bad and without functioning hot water, but after making the management aware of this problem I was changed to a newer and nicer room which was closer to the entrance (and thus closer to the bar outside). The noise was not a problem for me, though I can imagine a light sleeper might find this annoying.

The breakfast was average, with a rather limited selection it was as expected based on the images seen on TripAdvisor and the fact that it is a 3-star hotel.

All-in-all an okay hotel. Nothing special, really, but is nicely located in the city center.

Do not stay here if you want to get any sleep! 1st night in room C18 was like being in the middle of a disco, moved to room D14 which was better on 2nd night but 3rd night was horrendously noisy again. Earplugs didn't help drown out the noise at all. It really did spoil my stay in a lovely city.
The only positive thing I can say is the central location, breakfast is ok but quite expensive
Would not stay here again

This was a two night stay for a meeting. The hotel is OK: the room is modern and comfortable. Nice bed and good bathroom. And the establishment is centrally located, although some distance from the main university campus (walk + bus or taxi ride).

Breakfast is simple, but adequate: a small serve yourself buffet, with a reasonable, but not extensive range of products. The free WiFi in the hotel is excellent and worked really well.

The main issue is the noise. There is a bar downstairs that was noisy until around 2am every night of the weeks (some people were at the hotel for 5 nights and said that every night had been the same). Ear plugs are supplied in the room and when you try to sleep, particularly in a lower-floor room, you discover why.

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better for noise.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre. To the right is a jazz cafe, to the left a Belgian "cafe", but best of all a whole wing of rooms is built on top of a popular student pub with tables both inside and outside. Though the hotel provides ear plugs I did hear the basses on a saturday night til 3 am. So, either you love it (and participate), or ...

Room Tip: The highter, the better. Avoid a B-level room (A = Ground level)
