This hotel is only for persons who like quiet to the point of boredom. Ballybofey is just one street .
Having stayed there for two nights I could say that I did not enjoy my stay. The looking glass restaurant which boasts 2 AA was awful. I had to return my meal as it was cold.
My husband and I always dress for dinner and I was surrounded by men in shorts and T-Shirts.
We ordered room service breakfast and they got that wrong.
Kees hotel reminded me of my fathers nursing home.

I stayed in Kees Hotel at the end of March 2005 and found it really was the best 3 star hotel I have ever stayed in. It has the facilities of many 4 star hotels. The rooms are spacious, the beds are firm and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful, especially at reception. It is a family run hotel and the Kees family like to get in there and work with the staff to make sure everything is in order. The thing that really impressed me about the hotel was the obvious cleanliness and attention to detail which the housekeeping staff work to it, I know this should be a given wherever you stay, but here it was really noticable. They serve up a really delicious Irish Breakfast - the bacon is something else. They have two restaurants, an informal bistro and a more formal restaurant and very child friendly if you let them know what you need. The only down side is that having a room at the front of the hotel can be a little noisy if you have your window open, so if this is a problem to you I would ask for a room at the back or side of the hotel.

Enjoyed a two day break here in July, 2003. Could not complain. Great food, friendly staff, nice accommodation, excellent decor, good fitness suite and pool, quiet bar for relaxing nights. Shops 5 minute walk away. If you have your car with you go and enjoy the scenery and surrounding towns of Donegal.

The food was excellent in thr hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The surroundings were very traditional, with fires burning logs and peat. It was quite a quiet hotel, with plenty of opportunity to relax, however the shops, pubs and restaurants were abot a five minute walk from the hotel in Bakkybofey. Nice for a quiet break
