There is no doubt that the host /waiter is polite and the Ethiopian beer is very nice. However, the food isn't very good. The samosas seemed to be deep fried from frozen and were incredibly greasy, with the oil dripping off them. Quite frankly, they were only edible when doused with the accompanying sauce. I've tried other Ethiopian restaurants and the food in this one does not come up to scratch. It was hot (spicy) but not tasty and I felt quite ill afterwards. A let-down. Will not be returning.

Every visit of the Meskerem was a fun for us. The people are very friendly and the food is nice. The staff explains the traditions and details about the ethiopian food and drinks.

based on the number of northeast african people among the guests, I must assume that mesob offers quite authentic food. but although I have had ethiopian in the past (mostly in london), I didn't manage to eat much because everything tasted very sour to me. we chose the meskerem plate (chicken, and two varieties of beef, with injera bread, lentils and potatoes), and unfortunately, they don't offer rice which might have helped to tone the sour taste of the food.
in general, the atmosphere is okay, not exactly cozy or warm, but the owner is very friendly.

Don't you love it to feel your food? Well then that's the right place for you, you'll be able to enjoy authentic Ethiopian food and have some Beers which (at least) look african.
The Food is great, there's a great selection of it and everything's tasty. The only thing that could improve is the ambience, because it still feels like the old shabby bar that used to be in there

That was a first!
Really keen on discovering something different, we tried this place.
We were 9 people and at first the service was nice, however it became very pushy to order starters.
We confirmed that we only would like main courses.
The plate for three or four did consist in some sort of spongy crepes and different curries (meat and lentils).
It was tasty and it was different, but portions of meat and sauce are not big enough for the price asked.
On top of that, you are asked to eat with your hands and they do not provide any serviettes, so we had to go to the loos one by one...
It's just not for us.
