I had a perfect stay at this lovely hotel in beautiful Wengen. The hotel is super clean with a very nice minimalist, vintage interior and a large leafy garden. I very much enjoyed the breakfast, which inlcuded coffee, a variety of bread, pastries, alpine cheeses and butter, as well as the tastiest homemade jams. My room had a large balcony with amazing views on the mountains and the valley. The hosts and their team are super warm and welcoming.

The only negative point is that my stay was too short - I will absolutely visit again!

Had a really great stay! The management is run by a couple who make sure you have everything you need. Service was great. They were able to provide a fan since our room was hot.
Totally worth the extra money for the room with the Jungfrau view. We really enjoyed even staying in the hotel room and just sitting in the balcony.
Bathroom is really small but apparently that's due to the age of the building.
Breakfast was an elaborate spread. They made fresh eggs on request. The local jam was delicious.
Location of the hotel is a bit of an uphill hike. Make sure to request a pickup from the train station on arrival.

I stayed for 3 nights and luckily enjoyed mostly good weather. I got the best room available room 51, on which was spacious and had a magnificent balcony with view and a welcoming glass of sparkling wine.

Now I need to try and write this review from the perspective of a 3* hotel as I usually stay in more luxury properties, and it wouldn’t be fair to judge on that basis.

So positives:-

The view from the balcony
Simple vintage classic minimalist design
Pick up from train station if you request
Breakfast, although basic, completely satisfactory and efficient.

Some of the things I didn’t like as much:-

The hill is a little steep and it’s not the type of hotel u can keep popping back to if required as it feels like an effort and 10 mins to the train station.

I didn’t get that service everyone else in the reviews mentioned, besides the lady on checkout who was lovely, the others didn’t really interact or prove very helpful to be honest, which I would have expected from a smaller more intimate establishment.

No restaurant for lunch or dinner proved to be a hassle when the rain was pouring , as you have to find alternatives , and when the town is busy , dining options were sparse without much guidance from the hotel.

Overall this was good value, nice clean with no major flaws, def worth a stay but watch out for the points I mentioned where relevant for you.
