This is a clean, modern hotel in a quiet section of downtown Luzern, just a few blocks from the touristy waterfront. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to the lake. The hotel is located near the train station, but I didn’t notice any noise from trains during our stay. If you drive, they have a parking lot adjacent to the hotel. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful with directions and suggestions for good restaurants. The breakfast in the hotel was superb with a wide variety of fruits, cheeses, meats, vegetables, cereals, yogurt, breads, coffees/teas/juices, and cook-to-order eggs. [If you don’t want to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant, there are other good options. The hotel desk has a list of recommended restaurants. One night we ate dinner at a local restaurant on the other side of the train tracks called Unterlachenhof, located at Tribschenstrasse 20. Our room had a long hallway going back to the area where the bed was located, so perhaps that area was counted in the square footage. Otherwise, I would have given it a 5 start overall rating.
