Hotel Krone is a very small hotel conveniently located in the Old Town, easily walkable from the train station. The Old Town is quite small and it's easy to walk everywhere. Despite its location, our room was very quiet at night. It has a good, spacious shower area. For a two star hotel, Krone is quite good. I like that they offered fresh apples at check-in, much better than cookies or candies often offered at check-in by other hotels.
The only thing I have a problem with is their elevator. It is very, very small, but they put a large mirror on the wall to make it look bigger. It is actually quite dangerous as one might bump into it easily. So be very careful when you step into the elevator. I hope the hotel will do something about it.

Our hotel was in the old town. Beautiful buildings all around us. The hotel was hard to find at first, but after ringing the hotel they explained to us how to get there.
The location was close to everything, but very noisy at night. The restaurants were quite expensive, especially for drinks.
We did a boat cruise which was lovely and he lake is just lovely.

Room Tip: Get the directions off hotel or web site to find hotel

The hotel is in a good location. But after walking the town, twice, I’m not sure that there is a bad location. Our room was large, spacious and had a comfortable bed. We overlooked the small courtyard which is one of the good/bad. The view was nice, and so was the breeze (no ac); it was warm so we slept with the windows open. The restaurant next door doesn’t close until 0000. People were yelling in the courtyard at 2 and 4 am. Cars start their deliveries around 0530/0600. This makes it hard to sleep.
Switzerland has unique plug shapes, luckily the hotel has loaner adapters, for a fee. There shower is tight with interesting water pressure, and a hand/hair/body wash combo. This was surprising to me, as we stayed in other hotels throughout our trip and were offered much nicer amenities that those here. The floors need to be swept.
There is a mini bar in the room, but know that a coop is right around the corner.
The business center didn’t work. We asked for help, they said they would look at it, and it still didn’t work. If we visit again, we would look elsewhere.

Terrible!!! We didn't like this hotel at all! It's one of the worst ones on our 3-month Europe trip and absolutely worst one we've stayed at in Switzerland. For $200 per night we got a closet, not a room!! The room was so small that we had to walk sideways to squeeze by the bed, and we're skinny people. It was awfully dark. A black hole!
There was one tiny window and the room looked so depressive. We hated coming back to it in the evenings. One light was broken so we couldn't see the coffee maker - had to use a flashlight from the phone. The coffee maker had no instructions nor descriptions which capsule was what. I wanted to make coffee but it was a tea capsule. No indication whtsoever what is what.
Also, this hotel is DIRTY! Fingerprints all over the bathroom door, toilet flush button, etc. Disgusting! The floor wasn't swept. Don't stay there, choose a better place for this much money!

Located on the heart of Lucerne
In a wonderful historical place.
I had a one small bed room. And it. As great.
Enough space in the room. Everything was recent clean. Shower recent. Confortable bed. USB plug. Locker. Coffee machine with free caps.
