We arrived late and were shown to our table promptly. The staff were engaging, polite and helpful. Food was good but not outstanding.

Recently we moved this neighborhood near to hospital . We are exploring new cafes and restaurants nearby . One of our finding is Cafe Jule Verne . Excellent services , good quality drinks and friendly atmosphere.
We had good food in dinner.

Great little bar right opposite the hotel serving great food in a relaxed and pleasant setting. Reasonable prices to boot!

On impulse, while in Lausanne, we decided to take the ferry from Nyon to Yvoire for lunch. It was a Sunday, and when we arrived in Yvoire, the place was packed with tourists and most restaurants were full and wouldn't let people wait for an open table. Jules Verne is one of the larger restaurants and did keep a list of people waiting for a table, so we ate there. We were seated in about 10 minutes in a huge covered patio right in front of the marina and Lake Geneva.

The menu was only in French, and the staff did not speak English. We ordered, received our beverages...and waited a full hour for our food. We have no way of knowing if this is normal in Yvoire or at this restaurant, and since we didn't speak French there was no way we could ask the server what was going on. We passed the time people-watching--clearly a lot of European families out for a Sunday holiday.

Once our food arrived, it was absolutely delicious. We had fried perch (a specialty in Yvoire) and chicken, which my husband said was the best he ever had, with a sweet glaze. The perch portion was generous; the chicken was small. Our meal cost 83 Euros for 2 entrees, 2 beers, and a shared ice cream for dessert.

Altogether this restaurant has excellent food and a beautiful setting, but it was a bit pricey, portion sizes were unpredictable, and service was unbelievably slow. We think the pros outweigh the cons, but decide for yourself what's important to you.

I went to have lunch and I was a little afraid due to the bad reviews but I found a very friendly team and a more than acceptable food for a decent price.
You can't expect something spectacular but as a normal weekdays lunch is worthy.
