PART 1: Service: Negative and Positive
-Negative: When we arrived, we had two people bringing up three large luggage. The receptionist just watched us struggle. Nobody was exceptionally kind or went out of their way to make our visit better.
-Positive: Our room was always cleaned, the reception was always kind and helpful, and they helped us get a map, got us tickets for a Gubbio tour, gave good suggestions, and knew what to do.
PART 2: The Room
-Negative: We didn't know how to get the AC to work, the single bed had no access to see the TV or a bedside table or a lamp. The toilet was too high, the shower walls did not block water, and the shower had no place to hold soap and toiletries.
-Positive: The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the TV worked, the Mini Fridge was great, and they had a desk. The view wasn't the best one, but it brought in lots of lovely air in the hot summer.
PART 3: The Location and Amenities
-Negative: The Location was quiet, but not ideal. It was not attached to the city center, making coming and going difficult, mainly because Gubbio has no escalators or other systems as such. The Bidet was partially broken, so water went everywhere.
-Positive: There was a great vending machine, an elevator, ramps everywhere, and god lamps. The Location, though all of the negatives previously mentioned, was close to many important things outside the city center. It was right on Piazza 40 Martiri, a critical center to leave and enter Gubbio. It also had much available parking lots close to the Hotel.
Overall, my visit was positive. The Negative things were minimal, and this hotel was just another part of my great visit to Gubbio.

Our second visit to Gubbio did not disappoint. You can park across the road from the San Marco for 10eu a day.
The staff were welcoming and very helpful
Room was great, for the price we paid it was great value. The Breakfast room is is a delight,as was the food
A five minute walk into the lovely town .The funicular must be tried, only six euros
If ever visiting a Gubbio the San Marco is the place to stay

Fantastic hotel, very clean, comfortable just great. Great price at 69 euro per day for the standard room, could have had the economy room at 59 euro. Only small glitch with 158, there was no towel/ clothes hooks in the bathroom.

From the beginning we were helped by Roberto. His service skills and his attention to our needs was excellent.
The hotel is very clean, modern and right outside old Gubbio, so very convenient to walk everywhere. In fact we parked our car when we got there and picked it up two days later. There is no parking at the hotel, that's a little bit of an inconvenience, but the rooms are clean with a little fridge and great views of the Christmas tree from our window. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and a good Expresso, Cappuccino machine.
I would definitely return here.

Charming hotel with lots of character and pleasant, helpful staff.
Good location near the Centro Storico, and convenient for exploring the town. Lots of restaurants and the hotel gives discount vouchers for three within easy walking distance.
Comfortable and clean room, with access to roof terrace. There is also a nice garden in a central courtyard.
Breakfast buffet with good selection of juice, cereal, yoghurts, fruit, fresh bread, cold meats, cheese, eggs, pastries and cakes.
Wifi was a bit erratic in the bedroom, but fine in the reception, lounge and restaurant.
Free parking close by, recommended by the hotel.

Room tip: Some traffic noise, but ask for a room on high floor or overlooking the garden.
