Spent one afternoon and night here then the same again 8 days later after a cycling tour. The pool and hot tub were very welcome. Lovely, quiet, family run country hotel. Elio was always on hand for information or service. Food and accommodation were excellent. Can't recommend it highly enough. Will definitely go back.

10 Days guest at hotel Viole. What a warm place near Assisi. Everyone is very hospitable and friendly. It felt like coming home with family. Quiet location, well-kept accomodation, extra good beds !!! Breakfast and mails are honest -authentic Umbria, tasty and healthy. The place to be, Dirk Nuyts - Belgium

Set on the hillside in a hamlet ~3km from Assisi this is a great family run hotel. The staff are friendly & very helpful. The food is home cooked, the cakes for breakfast being particularly fine. The rooms are simple but most have a small balcony, some with great views. Overall, good value for money & a nice place to stay.

Room tip: ask for one with a view

We stayed at the Viole whilst cycling in Umbria .
The location is great, enabling a cycle into Assisi, but if you were without transport, would require a long walk.
The Hotel is family owned and run, friendly and informal. The restaurant serves very good food and the prices are reasonable. Rooms are pleasant and clean, some with a lovely view. the breakfasts were really great and boasted some home cooked treats. there were home made jams and the hotel catered for vegans.
Service was good and we were made to feel really welcome.
Very nice (though tiny) pool and hot tub.

Room tip: Try to get a room at the front for the stunning views
