The food was tasty but a bit expensive. No added value there. service was fine. I think that there are better places in the area.

This is a great place for family meals. Good variety of food and everything was tasty. The grilled fillet steak and the baked potatoes were the favourites with the 4 cheese gnocchi also making its impression.
Lovely restaurant, outside the door we thought we had the wrong place, but once we had gone through to the restaurant and the garden, it was perfect. The staff were excellent and very helpful, the service was good, and the food was beautiful!
My wife and our three daughters have just had a fantastic dinner at Il Locale Di Guido. My wife and I shared a 1kg Fiorentina Steak, 2 daughters had Filet Steak and the little one had local pasta. We had a small bottle of wine and desserts. Everything was excellent. The service was great too. The entrance to the restaurant is a little peculiar but the dining area itself is lovely. We highly recommend.
Reading some reviews we were expecting something a bit more special and worth the 20 min trip from downtown.
The place is average (think pub with outside seating area) and the food is likewise average (not bad but also not great or special).
Downside is that they allow dogs in the restaurant area which I personally find disgusting (eating while dogs are heavily breathing next to you table....).
Having been in siena a few days, it's clear that there are better options available that do not require a detour.
