La Bruschetteria Pane e Pomodoro is not your typical tourist sandwich bar as, for a start, it’s tucked away down a side street away from the main drag of San Gimignano. The lady was friendly and helpful and spoke as little English as we spoke Italian, but we did just fine. The menu is simple and unpretentious and typically Tuscan. There is a large choice of bruschetta to choose from and you really can taste how fresh the ingredients are and the place is very clean and airy and the food is quick and tasty. It’s a great place to get out of the heat, away from the crowds and relax and enjoy San Gimignano.
