10 of us stayed here for one night at the end of a week-long Tuscan adventure and this was our favourite place out of the three hotels we visited.Very welcoming staff at reception, check in was smooth and we had been appointed wonderful rooms in the older part of the hotel. All four of our rooms had either a beautiful courtyard garden or a balcony with magnificent views of San Gimignano. The views from all over the hotel were just beautiful, the pool was great, very relaxing, and the hotel allowed us to have snacks near the pool which was just what we needed after our journey there. Spa and pool were fab. Only minor things to improve in our opinion: the bathroom was a bit old fashioned, the spa bath looked a bit naff, (if you're staying at a spa hotel don't think you really need a spa in the bathroom as well!), I wasn't keen on the breakfast area which was a bit like a canteen at work, I think it's shame you can't eat outside under the trees etc. You probably can, but we didn't see anyone eating outside. They played loud music randomly during breakfast and it was really busy, not really representing the gorgeous surroundings of the hotel.. That aside, we'll be back hopefully next year (without the kids this time!!) we loved it.

Just back from a weeks stay at Villa San Paolo, and we loved it. Great location, really lovely setting, with fantastic views. The staff were all excellent, and the overall service was superb. We had booked on B&B terms, but ate in on four evenings. The food was very good and the wine and Prosecco went down well also! My wife and I both had treatments at the Spa, which were really relaxing and very worthwhile.

Would thoroughly recommend this spa hotel. It is an excellent position for exploring the area. We visited San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena, which are all easily accessible from the hotels location by car.

Room Tip: View towards San Gimignano was superb from our room balcony in the older building.

A lovely setting with nice refreshing pool. However, the highlight was the restaurant, which was truly exceptional with fantastic food and attentive staff. The reception area and piano was also a nice and authentic touch.

We traveled with our 10 and 1 year old children. Our suite was great with two balconies, 2 TVs and crib. Great shower. Very clean. Billiard room was fun for Fam game night. Restaurant was exceptional and great prices for a fine dining experience. Pool was amazing. Staff was excellent and accommodating.

Room Tip: None everything was great

We spent three nights with family and friends. This is a great place. Fabulous restaurant with wonderful service and staff. The only issue is with air conditioning. When I tried to explain this on the first night Franco at front office insisted its because I didn’t close the door or windows. This didn’t help and I spent three nights without ac in scorching heat. I took a picture of thermostat at night and morning with the temperature set to 22 degrees but the room temperature never changed from 26 degrees in 7 hours. This is the only reason why its a 4 nd not 5 above.
Otherwise fantastico!
