We'd been talking for years about coming back, and it lived up to how we remembered it. The view is outstanding, and the pool makes the most of it, giving an unobstructed view of the Tuscan countryside. We had one of the villas, which was rather compact and unsophisticated, but very clean and equipped thoughtfully with whatever one might want, or not thought to bring (bug spray - the mosquitoes at the end of August are hungry!). The wifi was reliable. We were glad of the optional bottles of local wine in the dining area; of course we drank a few and they were terrific (and very good value). The owners offered an evening meal every few days, which were generous and delicious. We were here for a whole fortnight, as we wanted a quiet, restorative time, and it was perfect for lazing by the pool or reading in the olive grove. We had no trouble finding public transport to Siena and Florence when we felt more lively. Of course, San Gimignano is only a 20 minute walk away, although about a third of it is a fairly steep trek through the woods, which looks as if it might be slippery in the rain. The welcome is warm, although you need to be a bit self-sufficient (or think ahead) as the owners aren't there all the time. Altogether, though, an ideal place for couples and families. We're trying to persuade various friends to come with us next time.

This bed and breakfast overlooking many vineyards, olive groves and the best view of the hill city of San Gimignano is fabulous! Would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone. The owner, Virginia is most gracious and wonderful!

Room Tip: Any room is wonderful!

Planning our trip to Italy; for 2 families for months and it was so worth it, to stay here at Podere Bellavista! We loved the views, the well kept and large manicured lawn, where the kids could run and play and the beautiful pool and deck overlooking a stunning Tuscany backdrop. We loved all of our lovely and unique accommodations. Our family stayed in the Alice, Maria and Rita apartments all were very clean, well maintained and very comfortable. We were able to shop for food and cook many meals in our kitchens and use the wood BBQ on the patios. The location was perfect to walk or drive into San Gimignano, to plan day trips or to stay and relax amongst the beauty of Tuscany. Virginia was an excellent hostess, she helped us to book a wine tasting and horseback riding excursion, each were very reasonably priced and only km's from her home. We met guests on property that have been returning for years, with very good reason, we will be back too! Grazie!!

I made a reservation for January 31st and arrived at the property only to find the gate closed. Called the number posted on gate only to be directed to voice mail. Waited 15 minutes and finally found out from a passerby that it is closed for the winter! Would it be too much to ask them to update their outgoing voice message so one would know that they are closed? While they are it, could they also update their web site?
Would them give that they have a great view of San Gimignano.

I'm sorry for your negative experience, but our place it was open the evening of January 31, we are open all the year and we had other guests inside in the same night and we had not other reservations for that evening. We remained here until 19: 30, then over time of check-in. I'm sorry that the passer gave you the wrong information , maybe you have found in other place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Podere Bellavista from a very warm welcome on arrival, Virginia couldn't do enough to ensure our comfort.

On the second night Virginia cooked a Tuscany meal for us which was delicious, serving many homemade produce.

Location is perfect to relax in with outstanding views of San Gimignano and the surrounding vineyards and olive groves.

I didn't want to leave!
