Spectacular view and good service. The gnocchi and the tiramisu were delicious. The speciale carbonara was a bit dry and salty, in general is a good place to have dinner with at amazing view.

Not only the best views, it has AFTERNOON SHADE. It also happens to have the best food we've had in 4 days in Italy. Very friendly, accommodating staff. 6 stars!

Charming place. We (group of friends) didn't have reservation, but waiter still found table for us thought it was busy. All in all staff was super friendly. The view is amazing especially during sunset. The food was tasty (we had cheese and meat plate to share and Bistecca alla fiorentina as main course). I enjoyed the evening very much. Strongly recommended!

We were looking for a restaurant located just outside Porta San Giovanni, gate of San Gimignano and found La Sosta instead. There were some people sitting at the terrace with its beautiful garden and view.

Instead we requested for a table inside the restaurant and the young female staff commented that we had made the right choice to sit inside the air-conditioned room to get away from the heat. The interior was quite large, divided into a couple of small dining rooms, wine cellar and a shop selling packaged olive oil, sauces, dried food, etc.

The staff was friendly and quickly brought bread and a tomato relish spread. I spotted rabbit on the menu and straight away decided on this choice. Fresh rabbit is readily available in France, Spain and Italy whereas those I have seen in UK are usually frozen from China. Here the rabbit was moist, tender and tasty. My husband enjoyed his insalata mare (seafood salad) which was refreshing.

Cost of light lunch incuding sparkling water, bread, cover charge (3 euros each) and tips came to 25 euros.
