Ok.. so let's start with the positives...

The Location was GREAT.. but ONLY if you had a car. I certainly would NOT liked to have walked to and from the centre with children.

The rooms themselves were OK? The bathroom was a bit grubby but with a bit of a rinse around the shower we survived.

The quality of linen and pillows were poor. I really would expect 2 pillows per person and for them to be of good quality but then this is a hotel pretending to be a 5 star hotel!

The pool was lovely however and it was nice to be able to return after some hot sightseeing for a swim.

And now the negatives... well this is by no means a five star hotel. Not even close. This is a very average 4 star hotel and if they had advertised this as a four star then actually I would have given it a very different write-up.

There is absolutely nothing 5 star about this hotel whatsoever. Breakfast is not included and the choice was so minimal we ended up at a delicious local cafe for a tenth of the price.

And whatever you do... do not book a room near the road.. ask for a "PoolSide" room otherwise you will be kept awake ALL night by the noise of the very busy dual carriageway next door!

Room tip: Ask for Pool Side Rooms.. NOT Road side

Dear Guest
As she reported it does not match reality.
Disappoint the expectations is our greatest worry, when we read reviews like his, we consider ourselves really adversely affected. Analyzing his review we remain stunned we fail to follow
Cleanliness and hygiene are a priority in Abitalia, the rooms are cleaned by a dedicated staff, the Housekeeper occurs every day the standard of cleaning, to guarantee the maximum cleaning.
Please indicate us the room number and the period when he stayed so that we can understand and see what you have reported, we expect to read info@abitaliatowerplaza.it / direzione@abitaliatowerplaza.it, you sign please!
Same considerations for routine maintenance, while extraordinary maintenance are planned and carried out also taking into account the seasonal nature of the hotel and needs the same.
Only who does not work can not make mistakes, everything can be improved, in every area and in every organization, so we too have a lot to learn, like all the rest.
At the same time we are confident however that it is precisely in the service attentive to detail, such as ours, basic details in order to recognize the true luxury of a hotel. We are aware that our prices do not reflect the standart of 5-star hotels most famous and well known, this fact is dictated by a precise "policy" business, in order to break in the structure, let us know and give way to a variety of people to try regardless, an emotion, an atmosphere and a structure, which we still believe to be level despite the price at which we go out on the market and the judgment of a few people (and we regret) not met.
For completeness d 'information and in order to adequately answer: our hotel is new, has a pool and a solarium (only hotel in Pisa, albeit with seasonal opening 15/6 - 15/9 opening has own pool and solarium), large green space outside, tower views, a corner spa area, with hammam, 2 tapies treadmill, 2 exercise bikes, massage chair, emotional shower and two massage rooms, as well as the toilets. We sell as an SPA HOTEL, but we are a Urban Hotel fortunate to have an outdoor pool and a spa corner
The opening and closing dates of the pool are well highlighted on the site and in any portal booking
Point wi fi access, reception open 24 h tulle rooms have internal temperature control, large 42 inch flat screen SAMNSUNG.
In addition the hotel also has a conference center, a cigary room, lounges and newspapers available for reading and a roof garden at Level 3
She undoubtedly is a great traveler enlighten where you can book hotels with similar 3/4/5 star features with those services, cleaning, quality, performance, professionalism and above all with a price that is well below the standart unfortunately other feature that you forget completely!
The catering sector is managed by an outside company, however,
Breakfast is an exclusive of our Hotel, from 7.30 to 10.30 to 11 am; to provide a service to those who need to start a pleasant awakening
BREAKFAST from 7 to 10:30 am with a rich buffet with a choice of organic food, dietary and gluten
COURTESY BREAK from 10:30 to 11:00 at our bar with pastries and delicacies of our pastry chef.
As if our kitchen, "with a view to customers" it was not oriented to the transparent genuineness of the recipes that we propose with typical products of the suburbs of Pisa.
We have 3 different types are accompanied by a tart homemade, this is certainly an added value, the double varieties croissants on the buffet, a variety of quality bread for those who have the 'need for toasting bread and toast bread. There are scrambled eggs and bacon fruit, fruit salad, yogurt and whatever else. The bar is open from 07 am to 00 over the 00 00 at night. The elegant restaurant has prices in line with other known restaurants in the area and offers a wide range of choice

It seems strange then that you book to spend less a room without breakfast (look carefully the specification of the reservation: no meals included) arrive at the hotel knowing that it does not have the complimentary breakfast and then get angry because they must pay for breakfast! avoid controversy? just book the room with breakfast. All hotels in the world adopt the same policy: breakfast room has a price, no breakfast room has a significantly lower price. Please be honest with himself first, then with others. In each room there are 2 pillows for each room in the closet as well as those on the bed.
Re still waiting to have her as a welcome guest with the hope that it can review its position and with the hope of being able to make her smile again, because we believe his comment too ungenerous towards us; we regret it because we believe in it and we give all of ourselves. Among other things, I will be personally happy to be able to compare if it were to return to stay with us avoiding to write and launch accusations put his face, and especially the signature certifying them, is not suited to a gentleman like you.

We read the reviews before booking our 2 night stay so did not expect 5 star. Also we appreciated that we were not paying for 5 star so happy to accept less. We were keen to have a pool and an outdoor area to relax after some touring around Tuscany. The room was basic and in need of a deep clean but could be improved with some TLC. The reception and bar areas were beautifully decorated. The pool area was fine but very few loungers and most of them were damaged. There didn't seem to be anyone clearing bottles or rubbish away either.
We went to the bar both evenings for a drink. Each time there was no gin as they had run out of it!!
Breakfast was the worst we have ever experienced with empty platters, uncleared tables and stale pastries. We left and bought breakfast elsewhere.
We were not expecting much having read the reviews but we were still disappointed.

damaged sunbeds? What's it about? Few sunbeds? I remind you that we are a hotel with a pool and not a lap pool with the hotel! we have about 50 beds for 121 rooms, we could not have 2 beds per room !!

I agree with other reviews in that this is not a five star hotel. To be a five star hotel everything should be five stars and sadly it wasn't. Our accommodation was good. It was clean, tidy and comfortable, but there was a persistent smell in the room - maybe from the drains or air conditioning. Upon complaining our room was simply sprayed with air freshener which worked temporarily but didn't resolve the ongoing problem. The pool area was lovely with a separate shallow area for children adjacent to the main pool. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. However when we came to leave we had to pay an additional 60€ in taxes which we hadn't been informed of at the point of arrival. Apparently there was a sign telling us but as we were concentrating on checking in and talking to the reception staff we didn't see the sign and we weren't informed of the tax. This failure should have been paid for by the hotel but they refused.

Wifi - intermittent at best and very frustrating. The hotel needs to get their own and offer 5* wifi not rely on an external provider. Reception staff are well used to customer complaints about this but can't do anything.

The restaurant - 3* at best. Terrible breakfast, unfriendly abrupt staff who yawned all morning, laughed and joked with each other but were frosty with the customers. Evening meals - I do relate to the previous comment of the restaurant being like faulty towers. Starters arrived at after mains and the dessert was still frozen. Being a distance from Pisa it would have been nice to have a decent restaurant to eat in.

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly but they are let down by management. Management - be good to your staff and customers by offering proper five star facilities and accommodation.

Dear guest thanks for this review. The fact that you have noticed that we are trying to improve our services fills us with joy and encourages us to do even better. We know that the road to excellence is still long, but we are trying to follow it in the best way and if we are together in this operation by guests like you our work becomes even more beautiful and satisfying.

But sorry for the negative note, Could you provide more details?
Number of room and night of stay
direzione@abitaliatowerplaza.it to talk to myself, I would understand if what he writes corresponds to reality checking with the housekeeper about the smell present in his room. Read what she reported saddens me and I would go to the bottom of it

For other negative points, let the illustrious: the room rate is variable depending on the season and the hotel filling. The customer has the right to purchase the room with or without breakfast regardless of the price paid, but in every Italian province there is a city tax payable, expense of the customer. A Pisa for 4/5 star hotel is 2 euro per person, in Milan of 5, 6 in Rome, in Viareggio 4.5 euro. The fee is present in Italy for years, does not depend on the hotel, the customer can not pay it to the point snaps an administrative penalty, a fine by the authority that supervises, through the electronic transmission of documents. That information in addition to being in the public domain is stated on the website, at the reception and at each portal is where the reservation. Please before launching accusations, s tell!
For info: all services inherent in the F & B sector or the restaurant is run by an external company, with which the relationship will end on 30 09 2016

The elegant restaurant has prices in line with other restaurants in the popular area and offers a wide range of choice. We half-board options exclude drinks at a cost of € 25 per person, exhibited at desk and restaurant suggestions from maitre / rather than by the various rang chef.
WIFI completely free, we asked for a widening and improvement of the signal. Unfortunately more and more clients need to navigate in unison dispondendo more devices and going to the net, creating slowdowns soffoare

We regret that the communication is not only verbal, being always open reception and myself present, rather than immediately writing bad reviews ... I would rather have a coffee together ... in a convivial manner
Speaking indifferent manner of non professionalism and indifference is still a serious statement, at least to its keen eye will have noticed that we always and everywhere a feedback, which we are present, we are signing with name and surname, without hiding behind a finger .

Very nice hotel, modern with very large room and bathroom. We didn't use the restaurant so cant' comment. Lots of free parking and you can see the leaning tower of Pisa from the hotel. We didn't walk to the town so can't say how far as this was just an overnight stay before an early flight to London. Our room had a pool view which looked very nice and our room was very quiet. Room was very spacious and modern with a mini bar fridge but unfortunately no tea/coffee which was disappointing. The only negative was ZERO internet connection, reception said there was internet but we could not connect, must have been too far from router. I noticed many people in the lobby using devices so I think we weren't the only people have problems connecting from our room but not the end of the world. The hallways are also very dark which was a little annoying but all in all a very nice stay.

Dear Guest
thanks for the review shared and the time we wanted to take up.
I can not imagine how pleased I tried to read his thoughts. In a nutshell he was able to capture the essence of some ideas for us really important.
We are deeply convinced that we have a long way to go for our improvement, guests as you enrich us of awareness and pride.
A review really balanced, thanks to the added value that has given us, appreciated!
With regard to his reflections we try to answer by giving a clear reason.
But especially in Tuscany in Pisa there is an ordinance of the firefighters that prevents 4/5 star hotel to hold a kettle in the room for safety reasons and apparatus for preparing coffee.
Wi fi: we are free, unfortunately many customers ask us more than one per person password, then navigation can sometimes be heavy and slow, we are still providing to signal enhancement.
The corridors, by choice have a light / soft given by step only marks and marks the number in order to induce d psychologically every person lighting to soften the tone of voice, we have many guests with melted several times, then often that during the day in the rooms there are people sleeping comfortably and soundly.
The we expect soon.

We stayed at Abitalia Tower in August 2016. Lots of people said the restaurant was expensive so we took lunch with us when we arrived so we didn't have to go and find somewhere to eat. We had adjoining rooms as we have teenager boys. The rooms were fantastic, pool view, balcony, comfortable, clean, all you need and were quite large. Pool was great, kids loved it and we could watch them from balcony. Staff pleasant and helpful. We took a taxi to and from town (decided not to walk from reading other reviews). This was fine, easy and not too costly. The only thing that let the hotel down was the breakfast which wasn't great. I woud recommend the hotel but don't expect much from the food.

Room tip: Lovely rooms with pool view - large with balcony
