As stated by other reviews, this is not a 5* hotel. However it is good value for money and is in a good location near to the airport and within walking distance to the tower.
We stayed here for one night after arriving at the airport late and it was everything that we needed. The rooms were modern and the bar stayed open to allow us to have a drink after we had checked in. We did not eat at the hotel.
We walked into Pisa the following morning which took approximately 20 minutes. The walk does take you through an underpass but it is fine and a fairly easy walk.
There was also plenty of free parking which was great as we had a hire car.
We would stay at this hotel again if we fly to Pisa.

Stayed here for a week (sadly pre-booked it otherwise would have moved on). The hotel is in serious need of a makeover. Rooms have scuffed décor and furniture. The bathroom was dirty with mould in the leaky shower cubical. The bedroom didn't contain a mirror. The leaflets and literature were dog eared and well worn. A socket was hanging off the wall. BUT this was not the worst of it. The restaurant (if you could call it that) was appalling. It didn't appear to be open much of the time and the bar was poorly stocked - the only beer was Guiness (it was Italy for goodness sake!!) served cold. We ate one meal there where the food was practically inedible and the service was lamentable - asked for a bottle of wine between four of us but charged for 6 separate glasses, until we challenged it. At breakfast the waiters were surly and totally inefficient - no cups, no cutlery, no coffee in the machine, no fresh fruit - just tinned, luke warm cooked breakfasts. Guests (and there were many for breakfast every morning) had to ask for things to be replenished. The waiters spent much of their time during the breakfasts rearranging the furniture and wafting serviettes in an effort to remove crumbs from tables. It advertises a pool in summer but summer doesn't start for this hotel until mid June even though in late May the temperatures were 25 +. Had no complaints about the staff on reception who were always courteous and the beds were comfortable but otherwise an unfortunate choice. Yes, you can see the Leaning Tower but it's a fair trek and you'll have to do it every night because you won't want to eat in the hotel!

Room tip: Check the state of the bathroom first!

Dear client, We are sorry for what has happened in the Plaza Tower of Pisa. Stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel to be lacking in many areas. Where the bathroom smelt of damp and the room didn't even have so much as a kettle were things I could ignore, I was aware it was the off season and the pool would be closed, but the empty pool was unsightly.

Breakfast had an ok selection of incredibly sweet cakes but only warm options were poor scrambled eggs and awful sausages..

Seemed nigh on impossible to get bar service and constantly felt like we were an inconvenience while they tried to cater to a business event that was occuring at the time. Once served the barman wasn't authoritised to take my money and had to get his supervisor, all a little disorganised in my view.

The room is fine for a premier inn style standard and was clean enough and comfortable enough to base myself, I had a car for the trip but walked into pisa and found it to be not far, just slightly awkward to navigate, only one side of the hotel has a view of the tower.

Horrible bandwidth so if you are in need pf computer work u may get an email out or 2 but thats it...old fixtures, nice lobby and restaurant and clean room and nice bar. Staff was friendly. 20 min walk to the tower ... Its a bit off the tourist path but easy shuttle or cab into center.

What an underwhelming experience this hotel offered. On arrival we were treated with a curt..,you are early ! You can sit by the pool but it's empty and under construction ! The gardens are neglected, the bathrooms are damp and we've tried 3 different rooms, all small and tired looking.
There is a view of the tower..that is all I can muster in terms of recommendation....although it is reasonably close to town you do have to risk life and limb crossing a busy intersection with no pedestrian access and there is rather an intimidating underpass to brave.
To cap it all you have to carve the scrambled eggs and the bar did not even stock tonic water......as I said 5 star my hat!!!

Room tip: Not over the restaurant the noise of scaling chairs is maddening!
