This hotel was great! It was so close to everything we were able to stop in to rest during the day. The breakfast was a little disappointing but it may just be the Italian style breakfast I'm not a huge fan of. Otherwise the staff was wonderfull!

This hotel is a bit tricky to find because it is located at the entrance of the Da Vinci museum and shares reception with hotel Colomba. It is in a great location though and the rooms are clean. The staff was very helpful in providing information on things to do and directions. The breakfast provided was good and had a decent amount of choices. This hotel checked off the list for us when we were doing our research prior to our trip. This list includes cleanliness, friendly staff, value and location. The small bathroom was a bit of draw back because it was difficult to enter and exit the shower safely, but doable. The one issue that was very bothersome was our air conditioning wasn't working properly and it was very hot being in the month of August. We reported it and were told a technician would be coming. After we got back from site seeing, we went to our room early evening and the tech had not been there. We requested another room or a fan in which neither was available. We hung out in the lobby area for while to cool off, but unfortunately the tech never came during our stay. Avoid room 2 until the ac is fixed.

Only thing good about this hotel is location, but there are 4 other hotels on the same street. Go there instead. Before you read this as someone ranting it’s not. Hopefully this review will either encourage them to up their game or help another traveler. The few interactions I had with the staff wasn’t unpleasant, but it wasn’t pleasant either. We stayed in room 2 on the third floor. The AC was broken in our room. It felt wonderful in the office and hallways. We told them about it and they said they would bring a fan and call the technician. We went out to explore a bit to give them time to work on that. We came back and neither happened. The front desk lady said she brought the fan and it didn’t help the air flow, which I think is crazy, but okay. What really ticked me off is she turned off the AC completely. Not even allowing some air flow through the room while we were gone.
By this time I asked for a different room. Naturally no other rooms available even though online it said there were rooms available. Honestly, I didn’t believe her. She didn’t check the computer when I asked she just went straight into no.
Thank the heavens it would get down to 71 at night we thought, “Okay, we can just open the window. It’s August in Italy. This happens.” There was a street lamp right by our window that beemed like the light of a thousand suns and it was beyond noisy. Who knew Florence was popping on a Tuesday night. Also, don’t expect a roomy or safe bathroom. It was tiny for an average sized person and parts kept falling off the shower head. It’s super fun getting in and out of the shower. Like I said, I’d look elsewhere.
We stayed one night: Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018.

This hotel is fantastic and quirky with lots of little seating areas. It had a great breakfast and the most comfortable beds that we slept in during our 5 city tour of Italy.
The staff are great, English speaking and friendly. Our room had an extra bed and terrace which was lovely and not expected, maybe we had an upgrade. I requested the teenagers were next doo but they ended up on a separate corridors through a locked door ( access for room key holders only) this was fine it just meant we couldn’t knock their door when we wanted them we had to phone them instead. Fantastic city well worth the visit.

Great location. Very convenient. Nice rooms. Wish the rooms had a safe to keep your important belongings. Staff was very friendly and informative. Breakfast was good and had a decent spread. Elevators are very small for the luggage but that’s minor if you make multiple trips.
