We (two couples) started looking for a place to stay in Florence 50 days in advance, and almost all the hotels were full! So we booked two double-rooms in Arno Bellariva Hotel. The hotel needs to be renovated. The rooms were old-fashion and just one of the rooms had air-conditioning system, which was strange. Not recommended!

Great B&B to stay in while you are in Florence! Room was clean and breakfast was included the stay. Very friendly staff. We arrived late the night before and was able to get into in our Room very shortly after arriving. I recommend this B&B.

I stayed at this Hotel for three nights while travelling around Tuscany. For the price I paid, I was given a very clean and comfortable room with basic amenities and a decent breakfast. The hotel's location is brilliant, as it is only a 15minute walk to ponte vecchio and the rest of the historic centre. I was also pretty happy that the hotel provides wi-fi access all over, hotel rooms included. I was very impressed to have been provided with an electric adapter for my phone's charger as I had forgotten to buy one, the reception staff were very helpful and did there best to meet our needs. I would recommend this hotel for travelers on-the -go looking for an economic yet comfortable and clean hotel in the vicinity.

We had a room at the front of the building on level 2 which was 4 flights of stairs - no lift. The room was noisy at night mainly from the food vendors located across the road at the river with their music blaring. It was also a busy road so some traffic noise as well. The hotel should not advertise as having air conditioning as it was little more than a fan - you couldn't even feel anything so had to leave the Windows open on hot nights and couldn't sleep with the noise. Rooms at the back my be quieter? The room was a good size with a good bathroom. Breakfast was basic with toast, cereal, croissants, yogurt Hanse and cheese. As a vegan I could only have toast with jam and cereal with orange juice on it. I asked if they have any tomatoes which I was told no. The location was also about 20 mins walk into town which you could take the bus and the hotel sold bus tickets which was handy. Overall you get what you pay for.

Room tip: Ask for a quiet room at the back of the hotel and if going in the hottest times see if they have rooms with a good air conditioner.

The reviews on this hotel are very mixed, if you acknowledge that this is a budget hotel, you will be a lot happier...
Firstly, the staff are excellent, couldn't be more helpful...
Breakfast is sufficient but the installation of an automatic coffee machine would be a big plus...
The room was adequate, plenty of space...
Downside, our double bed was two singles pushed together, one side was soft and the other firm and were at different levels which created a wall down the middle...
The strange thing is, there are no refrigerators in the rooms, in all our travels, that's a first...
As we discovered elsewhere in Italy, there are no English speaking channels on the television, after a long day sightseeing, it's nice to have a rest and catch up the news...
