The Hotel Arno Bellariva is easy to get to and is an easy walk away from the historic area in Florence. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good and the room we stayed in (#63) was great. The price per night was very reasonable. We will stay here next time we are in Florence.

I could overlook the laptop size TV with no English programs; the wifi either not accessible or intermittent; the uncomfortable mattress; the fact that I could easily hear all that was happening in the adjoining rooms and no tea or coffee. It is after all a budget hotel and one shouldn't ask too much. But what I cannot accept is a rude and offhand reception desk. Unfortunately on our second day our room key was lost or pickpocketed. The response was accusatory and we felt like criminals. We apologised profusely and ultimately paid 30 euro to replace the key. A replacement key was not offered and our room was unsecured for the next 5 days. I would suggest reception spends time with the breakfast staff who were very friendly and helpful. We obviously spent a week too long at this hotel.

I stayed here over 4 years ago on a guided tour and remembered it's great location...A leisurely 15 minute stroll beside the river. Before you know it you're surrounded by shops selling Italian leather made especially in Florence.
The reception is 24 hours which is really lovely; especially when you're arriving back late after a wine tour in Chianti.
Our room was large with a Queen bed and single bed. It looked like the carpets were new as was the bed covers. The bathroom was tiny almost hobbit size. We didn't mind as we were really only in the room to sleep before heading out for the day. The AC worked brilliantly (a must in Summer and Fall in Italy) too.
The team on reception were lovely helping us out with directions and recommendations for dinner. Through them we found a local restaurant just a few blocks from the hotel which served amazing fresh pasta, pizza, and best of all 8 euro carafes of wine!
This hotel is good if you're looking for somewhere just to sleep. It's budget but clean and we were impressed by the breakfast spread too. Very happy to recommend and would definitely stay here again when in Florence.

Room tip: There are no elevators so choose a lower level floor.

We had an overnight stay in Arno hotel . The room was spectacular . So big you could hold a dance in it , but as I am the type who likes to have windows open to sleep, oh my goodness , the noise of the traffic did not stop all night . Loud and constant . Barely slept at all . Yes I could have closed the window , but then I still would not have slept . Apart from that , it was a lovely stay . The reception young men were very polite , friendly and helpful . The ceiling in our room was amazingly beautiful . Very close to the city centre and has its own car park . Very well worth the stay

We were given room 86, on the top floor. The room was quite SMELLY, reminding me of the smell of a dead mouse that I once experienced. These things can happen, of course, but the staff were quite aware of the problem and had clearly had complaints before. So we paid quite a high price for a very distasteful experience.
