We travelled recently for a family holiday to Italy, most of Florence was sold out and a friend suggested to use Tablet Hotels and luckily i followed his advice and discovered this hidden gem. We stayed in their Studio Loft which has amazing views of the Garden, the side street and the old city with large windows and the really high ceilings. From what the the front desk told us was that it was originally a factory, than the studio and residence of an architect and lately a hotel. It gives an old rustic look all around and yet very contemporary. We checked in with warm smiles of the front desk staff efficiently and were led to our room in five minutes and explained all details we need to know during the stay. The room was really spacious and kids love the way a narrow staircase led us to a very modern and spacious loft. The lounge where the breakfast was served is really nice and cozy with a real fire place and the staff here again at breakfast was really charming. They really went out of their way to arrange different gluten free food options for me as i am gluten intolerant. There is a lovely garden with really mature trees and a a small pool (not sure if it was very clean though) and two hammocks on the side are just perfect for a lazy afternoon and may be a quick nap. I have the following suggestion for the management, the shower needs to be improved as the water falls out unless one is very careful and somehow the water seemed sticky (not sure if it is a Florence thing) and the light was not really enough. USB ports in rooms will be nice as well as Iron and Board and some space to keep folded clothes in the walk in cupboard. The bed and pillow are not very comfortable and can be improved and the housekeeping was not really like the first day. There were some other shortcomings during the stay but again were not in a five star resort so it was fine and i will give the team 10 out of five for effort from explaining the hotel, restaurant bookings, arranging special requests. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to florence. Five thumbs up!!!

And when I say HOME, I mean I literally live at RIVA LOFTS since March 2017...
I spent almost 2 years in Florence looking around for a place where to stay which could let me enjoy the city and give me time and space to work and I final found Riva Lofts.
It really doesn’t not matters if you are staying for one night or longer: RIVA LOFTS can make your stay here the best one ever.
All of my friend fro Mia Moretti, to Clean Bandit, to Ian Connor to Hayley Hasselhoff are comig back every time they are visiting me in Florence: if you are lucky enough it’s no strange you are gonna swim with them in the pool.

Thanks RIVA LOFTS for being my HOME away from home
For me it’s and it will always be a big YESSS

Stayed for 3 nights in end November. Property is on the other side of the Arno river, about 20 mins via tram or bus to the city centre but that's about the only downside. Charm of the property and staff more than make up for travel time to attractions. Driving friendly. If available you can park right in front of the gate. The staff, particularly Carlotta and Laura were very helpful, welcoming and insightful and gave us great tips and recommendations. We had a unit with a unfettered view of the river, great for a relaxing getaway.

Beautiful small loft hotel just outside of Florence. Easy excess to the city by tram. They offer also free bikes. Great to relax in the commen area or outside by the pool after a day in the city. The staff was very friendly and personal. The breakfast was very good.

From arrival to departure Riva Lofts was exactly what we'd hoped for - a unique, quiet and beautiful setting from which to enjoy Florence. Our room was beautiful, the outside space a real oasis, and the staff went out of their way to help on many occasions.
It was nice to be able to borrow the bikes one day, go for a run in the park the next, and swim in/ relax by the pool.
The constantly available fresh fruit bowl in the lounge area is a really nice touch, as is being able to use the lounge 24 hours a day. Even though it was full when we were there it still felt peaceful.
It does take 15 minutes at least to walk into town but is a lovely walk that I'd be happy to do many more times.
Thanks Riva!
