We travelled recently for a family holiday to Italy, most of Florence was sold out and a friend suggested to use Tablet Hotels and luckily i followed his advice and discovered this hidden gem. We stayed in their Studio Loft which has amazing views of the Garden, the side street and the old city with large windows and the really high ceilings. From what the the front desk told us was that it was originally a factory, than the studio and residence of an architect and lately a hotel. It gives an old rustic look all around and yet very contemporary. We checked in with warm smiles of the front desk staff efficiently and were led to our room in five minutes and explained all details we need to know during the stay. The room was really spacious and kids love the way a narrow staircase led us to a very modern and spacious loft. The lounge where the breakfast was served is really nice and cozy with a real fire place and the staff here again at breakfast was really charming. They really went out of their way to arrange different gluten free food options for me as i am gluten intolerant. There is a lovely garden with really mature trees and a a small pool (not sure if it was very clean though) and two hammocks on the side are just perfect for a lazy afternoon and may be a quick nap. I have the following suggestion for the management, the shower needs to be improved as the water falls out unless one is very careful and somehow the water seemed sticky (not sure if it is a Florence thing) and the light was not really enough. USB ports in rooms will be nice as well as Iron and Board and some space to keep folded clothes in the walk in cupboard. The bed and pillow are not very comfortable and can be improved and the housekeeping was not really like the first day. There were some other shortcomings during the stay but again were not in a five star resort so it was fine and i will give the team 10 out of five for effort from explaining the hotel, restaurant bookings, arranging special requests. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to florence. Five thumbs up!!!
