Owner description: This outdoor museum space is a peaceful place to rest your weary feet after a long day of sight seeing. Admire some of Florence's most iconic original sculptures from Cellini's "Perseus" to Giambologna's "Rape of the Sabines."

This is an area where people come to rest amidst unique sculptures. Best of all is it’s free! There are original sculptures and they are quite impressive. This area is right next to Uffizi. My favorite is of Perseus.

With what seems like statues and huge churches and basilicas at every turn this corner of one square has a collection of various sculptures by proteges of the the more renowned. Worth spending a few mins to enjoy part of Florentine history.

The Piazza and Loggia are always filled with people but there are stairs to sit and contemplate after you've had your fill of art. Lovely.

Loggia dei Lanzi with its gorgeous sculptures adds color and light to austere and solemn ensemble of the Piazza Signoria. This open-air museum with its graceful marble and bronze statues is one of the striking images of Firenze we never forget and always come back to.

My personal favorite is the bronze Benvenuto Cellini's statue, “Perseus with the Head of Medusa”. And the powerful symbol of the old days, two marble Medici’s lions have been proudly guarding the steps of the Loggia and magnificent city of Florence over many centuries...
