Stayed here in the middle of our Europe trip.
Brilliant location, a stones throw from the Duomo.
Clean and fairly modern bedroom
and bathroom, with great PREGNANT BELLY WINDOWS.
Only thing to complain about is the strange location of the lobby.
Would stay here again

Stayed at this hotel on a recommendation from a friend. Easy walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, close to restaurants, markets, & sightseeing with the Duomo just down the road. As we'd been to Florence before, Louise was very helpful with sighting seeing advice other than the norm.Breakfast was very good & room large & comfortable. A real bonus was the air conditioning with such hot weather when we were visiting.I would not hesitate to stay here again & also recommend to future travelers to Florence.

First impression of this hotel would put a lot of people off. The entrance is dingy and up in an antiquated lift to the 3rd floor. One night there was a trail of blood at the entrance. The room was adequate as was the breakfast. It does have a great location It truly is a 3 star hotel and no more. We won't stay again.

A small hotel run by Australian owners in the heart of Florence
At first sight not impressive as you enter seeing an old lift
The rooms however are clean and larger than most small hotels in Florence and have spectacular views
Just a short hop and you are in the historic district
The service is a great help in booking tours and giving directions to restaurants

The hotel is an easy walk from the train station and is located just along from the Duomo and central attractions. It is possible to walk to all of the major points of interest. The staff were very helpful and helped to get us 'skip the queue' tickets to see the Statue of David at very short notice.
Overall a pleasant stay, we opted for a superior room which was very spacious by European city standards and was quite comfortable.
