The Hotel Giglio was a good place to stay in Florence. It reminds you of a bank from the outside (although I don't know the history). You are just a few blocks from the Duomo and the Rialto Bridge. The staff was friendly and helped us get a reservation into a tough-to-book restaurant we wanted to try. Elevator is old school & a little scary (small with gate) but we could use it to get our luggage to an upper floor. Rooms were clean and bathroom was very nice and larger than expected.

This was our second visit to this hotel. It offers clean & comfortable rooms and is good value for money. The staff at the hotel are really friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast offered a good selection of choices and was good. The hotel is well situated being only about a short walk into the city centre. We will definitely stay there again.

We booked to stay here as part of a package city break and we were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed our stay here. It's a little, unusual hotel located a short walk away from the main sightseeing area. Some might find it dated but we would like to describe it as quaint and traditional. Its unusual as its located on the first floor in a large block of mixed occupation of residential and office use. Access is by a large staircase or very small lift and the hotel entrance is on the first floor, the rooms are very comfortable with modern bathrooms and high ceilings. Breakfast was included and was a typical continental buffet with plenty of choice. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We would certainly stay here again!
