Nice clean hotel. I had a small single room but it was really nice and toilet was big with a shower and bath. It's very clean and nice staff. A 5 minute walk to the centre. Ideal so you can discover the better food! Go to Al Tranvai for Italian food and wine like it's meant to be. Centre of Florence is a tourist trap!

Great hotel situated just far enough from the hubbub of the centre of Florence and just a few metres from the river. We have stayed many times and it is very comfortable with excellent staff who have been there for many years. The rooms are nice but maybe a little small for some people but we stayed in a junior suite on this visit which was fine, although the AC was a little noisy. Breakfast is plentiful and one can sit and start the day outside enjoying a good coffee in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Easily accessible within on-site parking which is a bit expensive but this is a hotel I would recommend.

The hotel has been beautifully restored to give you a classic Italian experience. The grounds are gorgeous and it was so relaxing just to sit and enjoy the quiet area.
there isn't much parking if you have a car.
There are different size rooms and layouts. Nice modern bathrooms. No irons. Comfortable beds with good linens. The rooms all have AC. There are two different wings each with their own elevator.
Beautiful solarium for dining. Food was really good and moderately priced. The breakfast buffet had a good variety. Also there is a small small bar just off the lobby. There are a few restaurants in the area but they close on Sunday.
Staff spoke very good English, which was nice for getting directions. It is walking distance to the Duomo and touristy areas.
I'd highly recommend this hotel.

The most important thing in a hotel is its staff. So here 90 percent of the staff was bad-mannered and unpleasant. I had the feeling I am somewhere else, not Italy. It is definitely not a 5 stars hotel.

Room Tip: Don't choose this hotel.

Charming and very attractive boutique hotel located not too far to walk from the main attractions of Florence. Alternatively a taxi takes only seconds to arrive and the cost is minimal compared with other cities.
Nice bar and dining area with a small al fresco area which is charming for a leisurely breakfast. Breakfast is generally good, especially the fresh orange juice. We only tried the dinner menu once because we were in central Florence for dinner on other occasions. The menu was good and what we had was well served and prepared. However, we found most menus in Florence were all pretty similar.
Our "suite" was very small compared with other hotels. We felt it would have been more comfortable if it had been turned into a single room instead of a sitting area and sleeping area. The out look was of a small quiet street. There are probably better rooms than ours so suggest other people ask for one with a balcony overlooking the garden.
Concierge service was lacking in personal considerations. In fact mostly they seemed slightly resentful if you asked them to book a tour, private car or other amenities. They preferred to just hand out a simple brochure and expected us to make the arrangements ourselves. Maybe this is usual for Italy, but it was new to us. However, they were very good about charging our electric scooter in the lobby.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the small garden would probably be better than ours was.
