After traveling in the Cinque Terre and eating incredibly well in rural Tuscany we arrived in Florence expecting big city prices and touristy food. We were very pleasantly surprised by this Trattoria just off the beaten path. Their fresh pasta was absolutely excellent including lobster spaghetti, pesto lasagna and house made spinach ricotta ravioli with gorgonzola sauce. We had a fillet of beef and green peppercorn and whiskey sauce which was absolutely outstanding and perfectly cooked to medium rare, and a pork chop with mushroom, tomato and cream sauce also extremely tender and cooked to perfection.
I have no idea where the negative reviews came from because we had a flawless experience from the service to the food, fantastic handmade craft desserts down to reasonable prices. Would definitely return and recommend any foodie tourists like ourselves to visit this excellent establishment.
