“Best pizza I've ever had”
Reviewed 24 August 2010

We really looked forward to Gusta Pizza and we were not disappointed. This was far and away the best pizza I have ever had. My husband prefers Lombardi's in NYC but he rates this 2nd. It even edged out Da Baffetto in Rome. We found the servers to be friendly and helpful in explaining how to order. They have a simple menu with only a handful of options. This was a very good value. There is not a lot of space in the restaurant and it gets very hot but we did not find this to be a problem. We found a table and the food came out quickly. Do not linger after your meal as they need to turn the tables over quickly. I did notice a lot of people took their pizza and wine outside to the nearby piazza. If you are in Florence and you like pizza you need to come here.

“The Ultimate!”
Reviewed 23 August 2010

It's not hyperbole- this is the best pizza ever! I thought the trip advisor reviews might have been exaggerating, but it's true. This happened to be in my neighborhood, and being New Yorkers, thought we'd had some great pizzas in our time. Gusta Pizza was truly memorable. And as busy as they are, they are good natured, and welcoming. Business is brisk, you have to figure out your order and wait, but tables turn over. We shared ours with a family with a young baby who will have to wait until old enough to try it, but she was smelling and eyeing the pizza hungrily. It is definitely to drool-worthy!

“Closed throughout part of August!”
Reviewed 23 August 2010

What a shame, we walked miles to find this very highly rated restaurant to find it closed down for two weeks during our stay. Shucks!

“The reviews are all accurate”
Reviewed 23 August 2010

Based on TripAdvisor reviews, we visited this restaurant. In fact, we were in Florence for 4 days and we ate at this restaurant 3 times. It truly is amazing! The pizza dough, sauce, and cheese are delicious and the pizza is baked in a wood burning oven. The fresh basil tops it off. It is easy to find good pizza all over Italy, but you won't find pizza like this anywhere else.
