my wife and i arrived for our 20 anniversary marriage. first thing we met lovely and welcoming Simonetta. we picked our room at the ground level. At the evening we attended the restaurant, and we met Dimitri. In few minutes the restaurant was almost full of locals and people all around the globe. We ordered a special plate of the chef. Little dishes were started coming to our table without an end. Every bite explored reach and fusion tastes based on the local cuisine. Both the red & white home wines were very good, and the wine list is excellent. From our 4 nights stay we ate 3 dinners at Agriturismo Agrisalotto and they were diverse and excellent. At the mornings we woke up to the smell of finest espresso and homemade bakeries. Simonetta gave us tips for the day travels and at early evenings we come back to our cosy room.

Room Tip: we saw both upper and ground room- both are very pleasant.

We stayed in the Valdichiana area for the last 10 days and visited Agrisalotto twice including tonight. Dimitri and the two guys serving in the restaurant were just fantastic. Informative, funny, they just made the night perfetto. Go for the grande antipasto .. absolutely amazing. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

We reached Agriturismo Agrisalotto within an hour of arriving into Perugia - an easy drive through the Tuscan landscape. This apartment hotel is small and beautiful with a very relaxed vibe. Led for the last 20 years by Dimitri and Simonetta it offers very comfortable rooms and two bedroom flats with air conditioning, a large pool and mature grounds. The hotel is popular with families and has playgrounds/equipment but this does not swamp older guests like ourselves travelling on our own. We saw that guests were coming back year on year and knew the owners well which made for a wonderful family/community atmosphere. Thanks Dimitri and Simonetta for a fabulous two night stay - it was the perfect start to our holiday and we hope to return one day!!

We found out about Agriturismo AgriSalotto when we dined at their restaurant. We had to drive back through Tuscany on our way out of Italy and we made a two day stop in Cortona on the way back. I have to say that we've traveled a lot and stayed in a lot of BnB's but this is the best by far. The owners are welcoming and accommodating, always available if needed but give you space as well. The room that we had was more of a suite and it was beautiful. It did not have an AC unit but it was cool, even for July. The shower and tub were magnificent, and the bed was comfortable. Their pool was relaxing, clean and had a beautiful view of the country side and as for the pool itself it was a gorgeous infinity pool with plenty of pool rafts, lounge chairs and even a separate section for sitting in a shallow area. There are hammocks along the property and you can sit out, relax and share a bottle of wine.

If you are thinking of going out for dinner, just stay in and eat at their restaurant, it's some of the best food and wine we've ever had, and we work in the food and beverage industry in the US. We drank probably four bottles of their wine and it was all very reasonably priced, as was the room itself. Breakfast was great too! It included pastries, yogurt, fruit, eggs with a side salad. Oh and I'm ruined for chocolate croissants for the rest of my life; I became a croissant hoarder in the mornings.

If you're not sure about Agri Salotto let me help you, go there! I only hope that I travel to Italy again some day so that I can return.

Room Tip: We stayed in Topazia and it was beautiful
