The hotel is not in Central Taormina, which makes it all the more interesting. It sits on a steep spur a couple kms away from Taormina (frequent local buses 1.50- 2.00 Euros; and has some very limited parking areas). There are some excellent views from it; and nearby, over Taormina and the coast.
You could not meet a more enthusiastic, helpful and supportive hotel owner than Sebastiano. Sebastiano and his wife produce wonderful homemade Sicilian breakfasts. There are a number of chalet type structures, with well presented comfortable rooms which can be reached by paths that wind their way up and down the terraced slopes where Sebastiano has planted a range of flowers and trees. There is a small swimming pool (largely in the shade in winter months but must be stunning in summer) which is almost like (but not quite) an infinity pool with one of the best views along the Taormina coastline, Sebastiano will also recommend local restaurants and may even take you to a more local but out of the way one, used mainly by locals.More
