This hotel offers the reliably good experience you expect from a Mercure.

I feel bad that I cannot remember the name of the lovely gentleman at reception when we arrived. He helped us with parking, gave us a map and explained where the main sights were, and was genuinely warm and pleasant. All of the other staff were also helpful and nice to deal with.

The rooms were very clean and the hotel itself is new.

The hotel is across the road from the archaeological park - you can just walk there.
There is also plenty of parking in case you have hired a car (both at the hotel itself and nearby.

It has a roof top terrace with views over Syracuse, as well as a nice pool.

Room Tip: If you can get a room at the back, that might be preferable.

The hotel is modern and with good facilities. It is very convenient for the Greek theatre and at archeological park. It is also quite close to Ortega
The roof top restaurant is good, with breakfast being served there.
For info the huge mirror on the wall also contains the TV

I had the pleasure of staying at this magnificent hotel for two months in a working period in Siracusa. Somewhere I ended up calling home when I was off work, thanks to the staff. There is a friendly and happy atmosphere and always a smile from all the staff. The reception staff who are the first to meet are always smiling and incredibly helpful. Especially Umberto who gave a warm welcome when I arrived and the best farewell my stay was over.
The rooms are big and modern and perfectly cleaned every day. Pool area, reception, outdoor areas, bar and restaurant cleaned every day. Breakfast perfect there is everything you need and more to and excellent food in the restaurant.
The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and sights. There is only about 20 minutes walk to Ortigia. There is great parking at the hotel.
This is a hotel i will definitely return to on vacation. I can highly recommend this hotel. I can only give five stars here, but the staff deserve ten big stars. ********** :-)

Were in Siracuse for only 24 hours and wanted to stay somewhere with private parking and within walking distance of the old town and the Greek/Roman attractions.

A fairly standard Mercure, but being new, the rooms and facilities are all of a good decorative standard with large bathrooms and even a small rooftop swimming pool (next to the restaurant where breakfast was served)

And special mention must go to the guy on Reception (apologies I didn't get his name) who was incredibly friendly, gave us the walking directions to town (about 25 mins to Ortiga) and let us leave our car parked in the hotel car park whilst we visited the ancient ruins (only 5 mins walk away) the next day

Room Tip: Not in a terribly picturesque part of town so no great views, but would go for a higher room just to minimise the traffic noise
