Dear D T,
thank you for having agreed to share in the TripAdvisor community your positive experience, we are really happy that the stay has exceeded your expectations fully. We want to thank you because if we do so well our work is about our guests and receive expressions of esteem as your review is rewarding for all the work done. Thanks for pointing out the location of the hotel, in fact, as you said, you can find lots of shops and businesses for purchases of any kind. The hotel is located in the heart of the historic center of Palermo, and precisely in the area of one of the most ancient folk markets of Palermo where you can learn the ancient craft arts but also enjoy fresh seafood and typical streatfood of Palermo. We hope to have you our guest again in the future, in the meantime you can contact us by email at vecchioborgo@ghshotels.it for any communication
regards

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night with my parents. It's a lovely hotel, excellent staff and a wonderful breakfast.

There was some live music outside the hotel until about 1 a.m. which was a bit of a nuisance but the area is well known for being a bit noisy, so 1 a.m. isn't too bad and it was very quiet in the morning.

We parked outside the front of the hotel, which is roped off, with our hire car and it was perfectly fine which was a big relief.

Lovely room and bathroom - great sizes and pretty decor.

We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Rather good hotel on the very edge of Borgo Vecchio: it is up to you if you consider it a positive feature ;-) 7 stories building of strange shape that defined also the shape of the rooms with nothing special to mention. Breakfast good, with fresh coffee and squeezed orange juice on demand.

Beware: you are in a quarter that LIVES. Mainly at night. Hotel has no air condition and therefore you will want to open windows--that's the point when the noise from the streets gets in ;-)

Reception clerk very helpful and kind. Room was good and everything was working fine. Very good breakfast. Location was very convenient as few minutes away from the main square Piazza Politeama. we have also enjoyed the restaurants nearby with a variety of choice. we came on a sunday so we could enjoy the city centre with less traffic as main roads were closed out for walking.

Room tip: ask for an upper floor room

The Vecchio Borgo was booked for us by the civic group sponsoring our business trip. The two nights we spent here were comfortable and the breakfast was generous and tasty. Our room had a balcony, tiny, but with an interesting view of the neighborhood and the mountains. We had no issues with the cleanliness of the hotel. Transportation was provided by our sponsors, Unioncamere Sicilia, and it was never far to to any of our destinations. On the one weekend night it was easy to shut out neighborhood noise by closing the heavy shutters. One client met with us in the lobby area and it was comfortable yet intimate. I use a mobility scooter and the staff was always very gracious and accommodating, as were the taxi and bus drivers.
