Irma was a fantastic host and her B&B was clean, friendly and most importantly in a hectic city like Palermo, very calm! It is located centrally, in the more modern area of the City Centre which feels much safer than the old town - the B&B is just a few minutes stroll from Piazza Politeama nearby where there are a lot of shops, restaurants and bars.
If arriving from Palermo station, it's best to take a bus up to Piazza Politeama - we made the mistake of walking and it's not that nice all the way!
One of the best things about our stay was the recommendations of local restaurants from Irma, we went to two (both of which Irma phoned ahead and booked for us) Amira a local Tunisian restaurant which was amazing, and Pizzo e Pizzo which was possibly the best Sicilan food I've ever had at a very reasonable rate!
