Owner description: This street, named for Abraham Lincoln, is located in the old quarter of Palermo, where you will find the Orto Botanico (botanical garden) and Villa Giulia, a relaxing city park.

Yes, this forms the border of the old town, but its nothing special. The botanical gardens are on it, along with the main train station. One end is the foro italico, which isn't the most interesting park.

Via Lincoln it is one of the most important streets of the city, connecting more or less close to the station with the marine area which is the Foro Italico.
Not one of the most beautiful streets of the city, but close to the Villa Giulia and botanical garden there are other important attractions to visit such as churches and historic buildings.

The road defines the boundary of the historic center, and it is lined with some Monuments of Palermo. The road was chosen in past by the great noble families of Palermo for the construction of luxury buildings, the most famous is Jung's Palace. On it you will find interesting pastries and also the central railway station.

We walked this street quite a bit as it was the most direct way to get to the station.

Don't expect a scenic walk. It's a littered street with sidewalks of varying widths and, depending on the time of day, a mild-to-medium smell of urine.

That said, we never felt unsafe and got to and from our destinations successfully. Nobody bothered us and, unlike the station itself, we never had to pick our way around homeless canines or panhandlers.
