The hotel itself was nice, the room was nice enough if a bit outdated...but for what you pay you'd expect it to be.
The hotel is fine if you want to sit by the hotel pool all week as location isn't near town and without telling you they charge you €2.50 just to call a taxi on your behalf (we found this out when paying the final bill)
The taxis into town cost €15 there and €15 back and to the train station it's €20 each way!
I couldn't quite understand the staff...they seemed friendly enough but did not want to help with anything at all. When we asked a question it was as though we were bothering them and they were completely unhelpful. None of them had any idea of buses or transport and couldn't even recommend a nice restaurant in town...(they are all nice apparently, which was certainly not true)
The hotel restaurant again was nice enough but not worth the prices they charge and again the staff seemed completely clueless. Very odd place to stay if I'm honest.
Beach was disgusting opposite the hotel, but the train journey into taormina was around 45 mins so that's good and the beaches there are lovely.
All in all not a great experience and it turned out to be extremely expensive.More
