The 4th time I've stayed in an NH Collection hotel, just can't go wrong with them! Great service, location is perfect, close enough to everything to be walking distance, bus stop across the street where the airport bus stops. The room was so comfortable, very clean, view of the sea from the room and could see Etna from the bathroom window! And aircon was great which was needed in the heat! Sound proofing is very good, no street noise at all, and no noise from other guests. Managed to check in a little earlier than the specified time.
I booked a superior room for the tea/coffee facilities, it didn't look like standard rooms had this, would be nice if they all did. Nice to see that NH do not provide the tiny throw-away shampoo bottles - large ones are fixed in the bathroom for soap, hand cream, shower gel, shampoo and even conditioner - these are much kinder to the environment.
Breakfast was ok, I'd like to see more cooked options for vegans, although it was good to have extended breakfast until 12 on Sunday. Also it was nice to have a slightly later checkout for free until 2pm on the Sunday (subject to availability of your room). I would definitely recommend this hotel.More
