On arrival we were a bit shocked by how bad everything looked. It desperately needs restoring! I cannot believe this look is typical Sardinian, we never saw it again at least. Of course it very cheep, it's perfectly located and has a carpark beside the hotel. Almost all of the staff were friendly. Breakfast typical italian, mostly cakes. Breakfast room inside ok but "outside" in a really poor condition. We booked two rooms with balconies, but on arrival there were none. Look out for that.

Room tip: There are no balconies.

Staff are extremely helpful. Hotel has nearby parking. Don't be troubled by the one way streets when searching for this hotel. I parked in the municipal lot and walked to the hotel where I picked up a map that made it very easy. Not sure if gps maps work here......Once settled, the hotel, though simple, is very quiet and comfortable (get a room on the back for quiet) and it is a short walk to wonderful food and shopping.

This is a small hotel in a reasonably quiet side street but very close to the centre of Olbia, very convenient for the airport bus and close to restaurants. Our room was comfortable, clean and a reasonable size. Staff were friendly and helpful but choice at breakfast was quite limited with no fresh fruit.

End of March we stayed here for two nights.

The hotel is a charming, family run hotel right in the centre of Olbia. The room we had was spacious, very clean and everything worked as it should. Some things appear a bit dated, but we prefer this to the spotless anonymity of chain hotels. Breakfast was abundant with predominantly Italian dolces (sweet pies).

Staff is friendly and though our lack of Italian prevented any real communication, we were served our every wish. The hotel has a single elevator connecting the floors. We could not find any stairs other than the fire escapes. Wi-Fi is free and works fine. The hotel has a secluded parking free of charge.

We got lucky with the Hotel Cavour. We booked at the last minute - and ended up with a very nice, spacious, clean room with a view; a great location close to the ferry terminal and all the sights, shops and restaurants along the Corso Umberto 1 and the Via Porto Romano; staff were very friendly and helpful (especially the breakfast lady); and, the breakfast (which was included in the room rate) was generous, tasty and the coffee was so, so good.
