Our ten day stay in Vicenza was quite comfortable thanks to the staff of the Vicenza Tiepolo Hotel. Although the location of the hotel is a bit of a distance from the city centre and the train station it was not an issue for us as we enjoyed the walking. There is a bus stop right out side the hotel. If you are going into town take the #1 bus from across the street.
Since the wine is expensive in a hotel, we purchased top quality wine (along with cheese and bread) from from a grocery store located behind the hotel and enjoyed a light dinner in our room on ocassion.

Room Tip: Staying on a higher floor (we were on the 6th floor) is quieter.

Very large hotel room and bathroom with lots of space to put all your travel items. It was a half hour plus walk to the city centre, but you could catch a bus across the road. Breakfast was super (except for the sunny side up eggs which were very runny).

The hotel is fairly basic. I was using it for business, which it was suited to perfectly. But it was a good 25 minute walk from the city centre, and did not have any local supermarkets nearby for essentials such as toothbrush, toothpaste etc. The area is a little questionable at night also. Any night I was walking back from the city, I was ambushed by prostitutes who were a little aggressive! Of course, I cannot blame the hotel for this.

nice hotel, nice staff but lack of staff. wouldn't eat there (not so good breakfast- stinky eggs). ants in the shower. not so clean. it's more hostel than hotel. not so good location. 4 stars is way overrated.

We stayed here for 12 nights. It was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Everyone from the front desk clerks to the wait staff bent over backwards to make our stay a delight. It truly was like a home away from home.
