The receptionists are nice and often smile. The people in the breakfast/restaurant area though are quite loud in talking.
The elevator was dirty and some fixtures in general are not well maintained and have signs of wear and tear.
These times of gadgets and devices, electric plugs in the bedside are very important which we didn't have in our room. We needed to improvise just to connect a respirator near the refrigerator.
Most of things are clean though.
Menu is expensive that is why no one had dinner in the restaurant when we where there. You need to make the prices more reasonable.

Welcoming and helpful front desk staff. Supportive with elements involved in our Summer Music and Opera program - from directions, suggestions for meals, taxis, computer print-outs and more. Even helping us obtain tea for our tired voices in the evenings from their bar was not a hassle for them. Breakfast was tasty and fresh with a number of choices. Comfortable rooms (I had one with a balcony - nice), lounge, dining room and outside sitting area were comfortable. Very pleasant stay.

All you really need are the above things. If -on top of that- service is outstanding and very friendly and location is on a 15 mintes walking distance from the old town center (or walk one minute to the bus stop and take Bus 1) you have picked the right hotel. So did we when we chose Hotel de la Ville.

Okay, maybe the room was a little bit outdated, but it did not bother us at all.

From the Vicenza Central Railway Station (walk 20 minutes or take the bus from the hotel) to Venice Santa Lucia Station it takes less than an hour.

Everything Perfect! Very good location just 15 Minutes walk to Citycenter and trainstation. Big parkinglot for free! Very friendly stuff! WLAN also good. Very good breakfast with a lot of choices. Good coffee!

This is not an amazing hotel, but for its price is really good! Rooms are big and clean, but very thin walls so you can hear everything going on in other rooms. Breakfast is nice and quite various. Excellent coffee for breakfast (Hausbrandt). And for this price you also get very nice free parking! Objection: even though I've sent request to get 2 rooms on the same floor hotel didn't do that for me. Despite rating it as average I would recommend it for this price.
