This hotel is overall lovely.

Recently refurbish to an extremely high standard the accommodation part of our visit could not be faulted. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Lovely bed and bathroom with large waterfall shower and all facilities that you would need. Our room had no view but you don't really need one when you sleep!!

Breakfast was a delight. Hassel free and tasty with absolutely everything that you may wish for (even a glass or Prosecco for those that wanted to indulge). The breakfast team were very pleasant and helpful.

Receptionists could not help enough. Very polite and efficient. Knowledgably on local matters with enough on duty to help everyone waiting.

So now onto our experience with the bar and restaurant. To be fair it was lashing with rain so it may have been a little busier than usual. The restaurant is situated in the central courtyard (under a cover, luckily for everyone that night). It looked lovely the next morning when the sun was out.

We decided upon an aperitif before going into the restaurant and stood at the bar for about 15 minutes before being served by the one member of staff. He has to do room service as well!!!!!

The restaurant did not have enough tables to cope with the demand and we were asked to wait in the bar for a few minutes whilst a table was reset. We left 45 minutes later to order room service!!Chaotic does not express the situation enough. I am not sure what the other eight people waiting did.

0/10 for the evening bar and restaurant. 10/10 for the rest of the hotel.

I would recommend the hotel but go to one of the local restaurants (the first one to the left of the hotel with a little dinning area over the canal was amazingly good food and service).

Room Tip: No issues with the rooms

Although this hotel is not on the lake and does not have any balconies it is an ideal base for you to stay whilst you explore Garda and the lake! Run by Monica and her boyfriend with Mum doing the cleaning they are all lovely and go out of your way to make your stay pleasurable. Rooms were clean and even had a fridge!
Breakfast nothing to write home about but they do offer evening meals in the resturant or on the terrace which can be noisy as it is on the main Garda road. The lake is 2 mins walk and there you will find plenty of resturants/bars cafes etc along with the ferry terminal. The bus station is 5 mins walk away with regular buses to Verona, which is worth a visit!

I was delighted to discover the charming Hotel Silvestro, not to mention the amazing restaurant they run. Only fantastic. It is right beside the lake even though it doesn’t have a lake view do not let this stop you, it is literally around the corner. They have table to sit outside under the shade of the trees. The rooms were immaculate and AC second to none. The staff were so nice and nothing was too much. The atmosphere here is friendly and I got a chance to test of some of the local wines from the host over dinner. They were beautiful, love wines. I know I will be back to this hotel to experience the beauty of Garda and this delightful hotel.
