This was not our first stay in Venice. On our first trip a few years ago, we rented near San Marco square: busy and noisy. This time around, we knew better: wherever you stay in Venice you’re going to spend a lot of time walking, so might as well select a nicer place, away from the crowds. This apartment was just what we were looking for: we could enjoy a nice stroll, found shops, bars & a nice pizza place nearby, and still be in the centre in a few minutes (there’s a vaporetto stop close by).
The apartment itself was pleasant. Kitchen seemed well equipped – though we only used it for breakfast. Bed was comfortable, wifi connection was good.
Check in was easy. The owner was nice and had good advice for visits and places to eat.
Very satisfied overall, we’ll be back as soon as we have a chance!
We stayed here during our Europe tour and found this place on trip advisor for Venice. Beautiful and quaint and lovely hosts. Comfortable bedding and bathroom arrangements. Venice as a city offered a lot to the tourists in us and it always felt good to come back to this home away from home for the 3 nights we spent there. Good internet access as well and this was a plus. Will most certainly return to Venice in the future and would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was quite large. The kids loved their small bedroom, I loved the living area and the open kitchen. We ate there most evenings, and found everything we needed in the kitchen. There is a market close by, but also some restaurants, had we decided to eat out more often - but travelling with kids, it's usually easier to stay home for dinner.
We did enjoy beautiful evening strolls along the nearby canals, visited the oldest Venetian church just across the canal. The area is very peaceful (a much needed break after the hussle and busstle of the city center!)
We have already recommended the apartment to our friends, and hope to return ourselves... one day...
This lovely apartment in Venice was everything me and my girlfriend wanted. It is in a lovely area of Venice, in the Dorsoduro, which is beautiful, quiet, with some lovely restaurants/bars and piazzas. It is ideally located, only 5 mins walk from the nearest vaporetto (boat bus service), but you can walk anywhere in Venice, we walked from the apartment to the Rialto Bridge by mistake one day! The apartment itself has been recently modernised or updated, and has been excellently finished. There are 2 lovely bedrooms, a large bathroom and a big kitchen and living area. All the furniture is new, and there really isn't anything you could wish for that want there. Dealing with the people who owned the apartment couldn't have been easier, always willing to help with directions or guidance when we asked them, they couldn't have been more helpful really.
If you are looking for a beautiful apartment in a lovely area of Venice, you cant go wrong with Ca Terese, it comes highly recommended.
