We visited Rio Marin while wandering through the back alleys of Venice off the normal tourist path. We enjoyed the setting, service and food - the Spaghetti Vongole was very good. The local wine selection was also very good. The chef came out to greet us and we were not "regulars" by any means. Everyone was very friendly and helped orient us to our location and recommend a route back to the cruise ship port.
